Best Western Plus Hotel Kowloon
Ranked #481 of 723 Hotels in Hong Kong

Good location, at the centre of tourist area and Hong Kong, 8 minutes’ walk to underground. There are a lot of eateries, both expensive and in-expensive besides and across the street. Breakfast is not included. The people are helpful but ‘leave luggage’ is generally not provide (but you can negotiate).
The hotel is outdated and washroom supplies sometimes run out. TV is extremely small, only good for news. There are 3 rooms in this hotel which have 2 queen beds, which can accommodate 4 people, although there is not much room beside the beds. They are on the smoking floors, although cigarette smell is petty mild. Hotel rooms which can sleep 4 people are difficult to find in Hong Kong!

Have stayed at Park Hotel on previous occasions to Hong Kong, but since renovating they are now more expensive, so went for the Ramada as it is just around the corner from Park. For a 3 star hotel, it is quite acceptable. The staff at reception/concierge/housekeeping/restaurant were all friendly and hospitable. The room was quite adequate, small in size, but certainly enough room for us to be comfortable for our 3 nights. Rooms are a little dark, but that doesn't bother us when we are out most of the day, and you just need to turn on the lights. The bathroom was quite ok, shower over a bath, good hot water and pressure. In room safe is secure, and free wifi is good in the room. Room and bathroom were well kept, so quite happy. The buffet breakfast was very good. Fresh fruits, cereals, yoghurts, hot foods etc, quite substantial and good quality. Dining area is very good and quite light and open to the views outside, a very good start to the day. The location is great, the Airport Link bus stop is just around the corner, lots of restaurants, shops handy, and Nathan Rd is an easy walk, as well as getting to the Star Ferry. We like walking, so we find it all very accessible from the Ramada. Very good value. I am in the travel industry, and would happily recommend this hotel.

Stay if you really want to save on cost of living ! the hotel is very well located . it has some great locations as mentioned in most of the reviews already. its very central and bus from airport drops you 8 feet away from the hotel gate!
rooms are small, however comfortable, but that's what you need once you are just going to be out the whole day.
staff the front office is good and understands English and over all staff is helpful. Hotel has free WiFi at lobby level.
do ask for harbor facing room, insist on it!

Room Tip: harbor facing /or higher floors

This was our second stay at the Ramada, nothing has changed here for the last 5 years. It is very tired and stuck in the 70's, the decor is awful and the hotel has an unpleasant musty smell, carpets that are this old will always smell. The staff are very efficient and helpful, it is unfortunate that they have to work in these surroundings and they all deserve to be hired by a better Hotel. We were upgraded to Deluxe rooms when i contacted them and expressed my concerns after reading recent Tripadvisor comments. Thank goodness we were upgraded, i can't imagine what the standard rooms look like? The linen and bathrooms were clean and the location is good, staff helpfl. But i won't return.

We arrived at the airport without booking a hotel. The travel guides said it was easy to find a hotel for a few nights at the airport hotel desk. Well it wasn't - so first advice: book any hotel up front!

Finding a hotel for 2 nights, 2 rooms was a problem (unless you'd go for the top of the range and there the standard rooms were occupied as well). The airport hotel desk was helpful, but stressed. We made several local calls on the nearby phone to other hotels that don't 'subscribe' to the airport desk, to no avail. So we booked the Ramada Hotel in Kowloon.

The trip by airport bus is easy, cheap and almost as quick as a taxi - so definite recommendable!!

Check in was good, taking the small elevator to the room made us feel a bit uneasy. At the floor, the corridors were small and dimly lit, as were the rooms. The furniture had much wear, as did the bathroom, but they were clean. The beds were hard, but we made do for 2 nights only. In one room we had problems with the bath, which the staff couldn't get fixed in time before departure. Luckily we had another ... so the bath/shower was shared by four, thank god for the connecting door. The fact the rooms were small was emphasized by the dark windows (covered with film I guess). The light inside was dark, making it necessary to turn on lights. Kind of a gloomy feel, that's the impression we still have. Noise from the other rooms was available, a smoke free room (due to the law abiding chinese?) smelt of smoke. Opening the windows was impossible.

The breakfast (small buffet) wasn't that varied or large, but sufficient for a start. Location is very good: that's why we choose Tsim Tsa Tsui in Kowloon. Everything was nearby (shops, restaurants, ..) and with a nice walk, even the night market was reachable (HK is safe at night!). Check out was OK, they kept the luggage behind lock, free of charge.

All in all, I'd say the Ramada doesn't live up to its name. A renovation is urgently due, bringing this hotel from the 1960's to the next century. The price isn't that cheap to offset the minus ... Finally aan "average" instead of a "poor" because of the staff, which wants to help (although the plumbing, electricity, lighting, hard beds, and so on lets them down).

We stayed at the Ramada for 6 nights in may it is a very shabby hotel with very small rooms ,we had been promised by Flight Centre Sunnybank that we would have adjoining rooms but that didn't happen and our friends were put in a smoking room which smelt .the only thing going for it is the breakfast and it is close to every thing, that was only one of the stuff ups that Flight Centre Sunnybank made but I won't list them all the most diappointing thing is that my husband wrote to Flight Centre and they haven't even had the courtesy to reply,I suppose they realise that we won't book through them so don't care.We would like to thank Wendy Wu Tours for a most enjoyable trip to Beijing and especially our guide Maggie ,she was so friendly and made our trip a great experience and I would also like to mention The Kung Fu Show at The Red Theater ,one of the most exciting shows I have ever seen ,Thank you Maggie and Wendy Wu tours for saving our 50th wedding Anniversary Trip for us Barbara Shennan
