I stayed at the Ramada recently because of it's convenient location to Tsim Sha Tsui. This location is very convenient to the nightlife of TST (There are many bars on Prat Avenue, just 2 streets away), and to the shopping street (Granville Road). There are also 3 malls conveniently only a 5 minute walk away from this hotel – K11, The One, and iSquare. Also, the MTR is just a few minutes away to connect you to all other areas in Hong Kong. This area is bustling even at night, so it is perfect for tourists to stay here on a budget.

I was aware that The Ramada was a budget hotel based on the deal offered to me and the reviews of fellow travellers, but I was positively surprised by a wonderfully grand glittery entrance (from Granville Road). The lobby is clean and spacious, which made me wonder if previous travellers were wrong about the hotel. However, the rooms are a different story. The rooms are quite small and compact, with a basic bathroom and room amenities. I was still grateful that they provided a hair dryer and a kettle in the room considering that many budget hotels don’t do that. Apart from the size of the room, the walls are very thin and a lot of noise from adjourning rooms can be heard if you are trying to sleep – my advice here would be to put your iPod on with a playlist with soft listening to block out any unwanted noises.

Overall, the room was clean and the service was good. The location is in the heart of Hong Kong, so no problems there. Come prepared to visit a budget hotel, and you will not be so disappointed. Be happy to have a budget hotel considering the amazing location that it is in :D Happy travelling!

The room is small... The bathroom has no exhaust fan, that we can smell our dumps all over the room... No free Wi-Fi... OMG!!! Not even in their small lobby... Feels like living in stone age!!! Blah!!!

We stayed at the Ramada in September 2011 on an official trip to Hong Kong.
The location of the hotel is good (central Tsim Sha Tsui).
The rooms however were very small, dingy and the wall are so thin that one can hear people walking in the corridor all night.
Any cough or sneeze from adjacent rooms can be heard quite clearly. The towels in one of our rooms were torn. The carpet was torn and the bathrooms were not very clean.
The single room is adequate for one person but the double rooms are very claustrophobic and too small for 2 people.
While travelling for work a good sleep is very important which was missing at this hotel.
Overall for the price I felt the hotel was not upto the mark.

Room Tip: Opt for a single room if travelling with colleagues on work.

The Ramada is situated at the margins of Kowloon, close to the riverside. Rooms are ok, reaching standard for a budget two star tourist class hotel, so are the amenities. A refurbishing is overdue.
There is no free internet access in the hotel and limited services; expect rather long waiting times at the reception; breakfast buffet is just so so; as the staff regularly "forgets" to provide breakfast vouchers the single attendant to the restaurant needs to contact administration for rechecking if you happen to insist; finally he even will ask you to fill in a receipt on your own!

Overall low service and outdated facilities for by far too high price.
