Arrived at Prudential Hotel on a Saturday morning, cost us $50 SGD from Airport > Hotel!!! Check-in wait time was atrociously unacceptable, lobby was tiny and stuffy. Thankfully staff were friendly.

Putting aside the bad first impression, the hotel is situated directly above a shopping arcade, and beneath it is the Jordon MTR. Jordon is between Mong Kok & Tsim Tsia Tsui, major shopping districts! Extremely convenient in terms of commuting!

Right outside the hotel is a Western Union money changer, a 7-Eleven store (tiny), and a few eateries!

The room was spacious, clean, except for the lamps above the bed. They were incredibly dusty and my brother had a sneezing fit. There is a comfortable lounge sofa in the room which can accommodate an extra guest, and a bar desk that has 2 plugs for your electronic devices!

Overall, good stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floor gets you away from the street noise!

Great location as it is just above the MTR station. Many eateries around.

Expecting a king size bed or 2 double bed since it is call a Superior King room but when we check in there is no more room king bed and we were given upgrade to a twin room with 2 normal single bed. Not enough power plugs for charging gadgets and camera. No washroom at the lobby area. No free wireless internet which is a norm now but it's fine if you have pre-paid card.

The Good =)
~I was quoted@ the front desk, per night, HK$1000
~Connected with a shopping mall
~From the MTR located at the basement,
there is a direct exit for this hotel.

The Bad =(
~No ground floor lobby

My Tip for future visits:
~The only hotel in HK which doesn't not have toilet access for visitors,
you need the room's keycard to access the lobby's restrooms =(

First of all, I booked the hotel thinking the rooftop swimming pool. However, there was all the time board that pool not allowed because of thunderstorm alert though it was nice sunny day.

There was small problem for English with Reception and Concierge. The hotel is downtown but bit far from Avenue of Stars.

Breakfast was not at all for Vegetarians. 90% of varieties had non veg or eggs. Later I found that it is everywhere the same.

The room was great. They gave me outer facing balcony type room. Which I assume only one on every floor. You can see directly to the street and feel like standing over the edge.

My suggestion ask for room in 20 series like 520, 620, ...., 920....

Stayed six nights. Checked in 9 am. As expected, room was not ready yet. Was told it would be ready 11 am, so went for coffee down the road and returned said time. Room was indeed ready.

Room was a deluxe room on the 14th floor facing Nathan Road. No noise from the street or the hallway during our stay. A/c was a little bit noisy. Room is of good size with a desk and a small sofa (of sort). Bed provided a good night's sleep. Pillows are very high and wide. Bathroom is nice with marble surfaces. Tub too small for a bath though.

Housekeeping did a nice job keeping the room clean. All the staff encountered were polite enough, which in Hong Kong isn't always expected. Tried the breakfast once due to offer for hotel guests. Not impressed about the spread or quality for money. Liked the pancake machine and selection of juices. Rooftop pool is nice after hot, humid days spent wandering around Hong Kong.

The location of the hotel is very nice, with lots of shopping within walking distance and easy access to Jordan MTR station just below the hotel. Prudential seems like it's trying to be a four star establishment, which it clearly isn't. However, it offers a great location, a large, clean room with a good bed and polite staff for a very reasonable (by Hong Kong standards) rate. Expectations of high luxury and pampering will be a miss though.

We booked on a 3rd party site and saved a over $500 so it was a great value. At full price I'd like nicer for that much money. It's Hong Kong hotels are expensive, deal with it.

Room was good size and included a great desk perfect for a lap top. Internet is a total rip off, do yourself a favor and rent a smartphone at the airport for $8/day and use it as a hot spot.

Pool on roof is nice after a hot day but it's pretty industrial up there, not exactly somewhere you'd like to hang out at. For a splash it quick swim its perfect.

There's a subway station under the hotel that can take you anywhere in the city and beyond. The line is awesome easier, faster, cleaner and cheaper then a taxi

I stayed 9 nights at this hotel on Aug9 to Aug 19.The hotel room is consider very good size compare to others in that area but looks outdated. Very good location. You are paying more like just for the location. When you gets to the hotel, you actually need to take the escalator to go one level to go hotel lobby. Only escalator is available, no elevator. Elevator is for staff used only, so if you have big baggage, you will need a bell boy.
The bed was very hard, so I asked to switch room and then they switched me to another room which has way softer bed. However, since I switched to the new room, I had to use earplugs every single night. It was so noisy with kids running around. There were many group of people from travel agencies.

Room Tip: Try to get the levels that are not taken by the travel agencies
