“Very, Very Good Hotel, Large Rooms,”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

We stayed at this hotel for an expo in HK, and hotel has a free courtesy bus service for this.
Had an exec room on 30th floor, 3010, great view of harbour and city.
Superb staff from the concierge to the exec lounge staff.
Room very large by HK / Chinese std which is great for westerners.
Could not wish for a nicer place to stay.
2 mins from Tin Hau MTR, whisked to central in like 5 mins.
Great location.
We will defiantly go back and thank you to all the staff.

Room Tip: Exec high level room with city harbour view. This includes exec lounge with free snacks and drinks...

Harbour view room very good. All what we wanted, obviously not the same as the 5 stars but for access to MTR and tram and Victoria Park - away from the noise - then this is fine. Drinking at nearby bars is very expensive - hotel is actually cheaper! Will come back.

This was our third stay at this hotel as we have always had an enjoyable stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The service form the bell boys, reception staff, bar and restuarant staff and business centre is exceptional.

On arrival we were asked to wait in the bar for 15 mins and was offered a complimentary drink. The room we had been given had a partial view of the harbour and a complimentary bowl of fruit and cookies.

We spend very little time in the room so we only booked a standard room, the bed was comfy and the shower powerful. The room had a mini bar and tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom amenities are better than most hotels. The only complaint was the room smelt a little musty.

Breakfast was included in our room rate and offers a choice of Chinese and International cuisine. If not included in your room rate there are cafes and coffee shops nearby. The Coral Cafes are always a good choice for a cheap meal and there is one opposite the Tin Hau MRT station, just 5 mins stroll from the hotel.

We purchased an airport express return octopus card with 3 days unlimited travel and this worked really well for us.

I stayed 5 night at Metropark Hotel and overall impression was reasonable. In general hotels in Hong Kong are priced high compared the space or amenities offered. A plus is the easy access to Tin Hau MRT station bringing you in couple of minutes to Causeway Bay. Breakfast offers you a selection of Chinese and British style food, there can be more variety. You've some nice choices turning right leaving the hotel, for example classified, serving some nice health snack options. Overall Metropark gives you all you need on a business trip, a bed and a shower, nothing special, nothing gorgeous.

Room Tip: I stayed at standard room 1008, for 1 person there's sufficient space. In case you spend more ti...

This hotel is just a short walking distance to the Tin Hau MTR station and it is located in the Wai Chai district, so it is a very convience location to travel and sightsee in Hong Kong.

This hotel is nice but not cheap. They have a restaurant and we had enjoyed one buffet breakfast there, it is okay but expensive (I have noticed that lunches and dinners are getting more expensive in Hong Kong). They have a bar and we quite enjoy the live band there.

The room is a very nice size and it is clean. The staff are all very polite and helpful.

We had a six night stay at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were booked into an executive parlour room. When we arrived at the empty check in desk we were told that as we were in an executive room we could go up to the lounge on the 29th floor and check in there. We did, and we had to wait as the lounge receptionist was busy! After a 13 hour flight I was a little annoyed that they didn't just check us in downstairs, but this was the only minor irritation during what was a pretty much perfect stay here.
We didn't wait long to check in and although the receptionist didn't inform us we were getting a room upgrade, looking at the pics on the website, it looks like we were in a deluxe suite. The room was superb-King size bed, huge bath and shower room, large lounge with a work desk, tv,comfy couches and a desktop computer, small second washroom, two tvs, security safe, tea and coffee stuff and plenty of storage for luggage and clothes. The best part of the room was the view from the huge curved windows out over the harbour, as first time visitors to Hong Kong we stood looking for ages! Our luggage was brought up quickly and a nice platter of fresh fruit was delivered, nice and refreshing after spending a long time in the air and drinking wine on the flight. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and it was excellent quality, more than capable of video streaming etc.
The executive lounge on the 29th floor was a pleasant little space, with excellent views. There were free drinks and canapés for two hours in the evening. There was table service if the receptionist wasn't busy, and we helped ourselves if she was busy. It is small but a pleasant place to get a couple of drinks before heading out, and is open most of the day as well, with complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks, newspapers and computers available as well.
The gym and pool are on the roof, with the pool being outside. The views from up here were excellent and it's a great way to cool off after being out in the heat and humidity of the city.
The hotel is slightly out of downtown HK but it is right next to bus, tram and the MTR (subway) stops. The tram is a pleasant old school way of going into town, but the MTR is one of the most efficient subways I've ever used. It can get a bit frenetic at rush hour but you can be in downtown HK in less than ten minutes and in Kowloon in about fifteen. Buy an octopus card and go exploring, the public transport is very cheap.
The staff at the hotel were all friendly, enthusiastic ,polite and helpful. We weren't particularly demanding guests but the requests we did make were all met and we thought the service was excellent.
On our checkout day, our flight wasn't until midnight and I had asked for a late checkout, we got 2pm instead of midday, which was good. As we were in an executive room, we got use of the lounge after check out, which was an added bonus. We also got the offer of heading up to the pool to get a shower later on before going to the airport. Most welcome after another hot day in the city.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, it added greatly to what was an amazing holiday. The staff deserve great credit as well for their excellent service.

Room Tip: There are no skyscrapers immediately in front of the hotel, as that's where Victoria Park is. So...
