I have been going to this Hotel since many many years.
It is nice...though...every year it is loosing in the small details, that placed it among the best.

In the beginning all the rooms were shiny and clean, now....

This hotel is well located in the heart of Mongkok. Loads of famous eateries, shops nearby, and Langham Place Shopping Centre is right next door linked by a bridge! MTR station is just a 2 mins' bum-shake away.

Service is great with excellent/ proactive housekeeping staff. We had checked into an Essential Place Plus Room on the 31st Floor. Apart from the unblocked view, the room comes with a coffee maker (insert sachet type), 2 JBL speakers below the TV, a brilliantly designed soap holder that allows water to flow back into the basin, an Iphone4 complete with docking station and a local sim card for use throughout our stay, plus a variety of pillow choices for us to sink into!

The only flaw is that our room was only available at 4pm+, which added frustration to our exhaustion from starting the day very early. The hotel could seriously look at increasing its resources to turn over the rooms during high seasons to reduce this problem.

Overall, we had enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend anyone who wants to experience Hong Kong with close proximity to a wide range of good foods, low to mid range retail shops and public transport, yet, does not mind spending a little more on accommodations.

Room Tip: Essential Place Plus

We stayed at this nice hotel from Jan.2 to 6, 2014 in room 3003, a family suite - with 2 king-sized beds, a small private kitchen room and a bathroom with individual shower and bath tub. And a marvelous sight towards central. The staff was very friendly, very attentive and very efficient. The room was well equipped with everything we needed, incl. free Wi-Fi. Location is just near Mongkok MTR station (less than three minutes walk). And the breakfast was a reason to even stand up early in the mornings ;-)
- Conclusion: A very good choice at a reasonable price

Langham Place is in a great location, right in the heart of bustling Mongkok. Attached to a shopping mall and right above the Mongkok MTR station, the convenience of staying at Langham cannot be understated.

Arriving early into HK, I arranged for Langham's limousine service and the staff were very friendly and efficient. I was offered drinks prior to boarding the car as well as a few amenities to freshen up with. I reached the hotel fairly quickly, due to the lack of early morning traffic. The staff were kind enough to help me arrange a room by 12pm.

Having booked an Essential Place, I found the room relatively spacious by HK standards. Some of the furniture looked a tad worn down, perhaps due to the popularity of the hotel. Regardless, the appliances etc were in good working order. I was pleased to find that the minibar was an older generation type, without the sensors, thus allowing me to store my own snacks/drinks. Decent range of television programs on the TV and easily accessible Wifi. I did wish the room had more power points though but it was a minor issue. Bed was comfortable, nothing to shout about but certainly no complaints. Bathroom was comfortable enough, excellent water pressure and range of amenities provided was good.

The breakfast buffet is reasonable at 180 HKD and offered a pretty good selection of dishes. Although if one isn't inclined to dine in the hotel, there are tons of excellent food options all around the hotel. Having a supermarket in the shopping mall helps too. Ladies Market and main shopping district in Mongkok is just a 5-10 minute walk away for those who wish to shop.

Overall I'd say Langham Place is a pleasant place to stay and certainly worth the price. The rooms might be a tad dated but the utter convenience of the location more than makes up for it. The friendly staff also help one feel comfortable.

This is my first visit to this hotel. My family & I usually stay at the Marco Polo hotels or the Langham at Ocean Terminal.

Planned our trip as early as Feb. 2013 as we knew that it would be difficult to find rooms in Hong Kong during the Holidays.

Booked straight from the hotels website & was given special rates since we booked 10 months in advance.

We were able to check-in early for the 3 rooms & was given 1 room to relax & freshen up while the 2 other rooms were being prepared.

Check-in was fast & smooth. Since we booked 2 family rooms, the kids were given welcome bags filled with a toy, activity sheets & a little pack of cookies. Of course the kids loved them!
Coupons for free juice and ice cream were included in the bag of goodies.

All the rooms we got were on the 26th floor. The rooms were clean, spacious, modern & complete. Wi-fi was free.

Since the hotels lobby was connected to the The Langham Place mall, shopping and eating out was very convenient. Restaurants in & around the mall are plenty. Clothing, accessories & gadget stores are everywhere. The night market is a few steps away. Mongkok MTR station is connected to the mall.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Langham Place, Mongkok & won't hesitate to make this our "HK home" again in the future.

Booked a family room under the Little People Package for 3487HKD per night on the official website. We checked in early at 11am because we had come from another hotel near Disneyland. Room was not ready yet, but the check-in staff told us that they would expedite the cleaning of the room. My girls were given a welcome package that came in a small plastic transparent sling bag packed with a book, cute erasers and colouring pencils. The book has colouring pages and some simple recipes that kids can follow with adults' help. The staff also told us that if we were tired, we could go for a swim first at the roof-top swimming pool and jacuzzi or proceed to the changing room on the 41st floor which had shower rooms, sauna and a small hot bath for relaxation. However kids were not allowed to use the sauna and hot bath, so I brought them swimming and soaking in the jacuzzi. The swimming pool was too deep for my 5-year old, but the jacuzzi was just nice (though it was to small for swimming). Although both pool was heated, it was very cold when we were out of the water because of cold wind blowing through the open roof-top (we happened to be there during a cold-spell in Nov). There was a house-keeping staff in the changing room. Changing room had lockers with magnetized automatic locks for keeping your personal items. The "key" was attached to a coiled rubber band that you can slip over your wrist. Plenty of towels were provided. Showers had dispensers with shampoo and bath gels. Body lotions, hair dryers were also provided.
The family room was actually 2 interconnecting rooms with only one door opened to the corridoor. One room had twin beds with a kitchenette and toilet. Kitchenette had a 2L water boiler, bowls, teaspoons and cups, and a well-stocked mini-fridge. Four bottles of drinking water were also provided every day. There was no bathing facilities in the toilet. The 2nd room had a king-size bed, 2 cupboards and a bathroom. One cupboard contained an ironing table and bath robes, the other just had a safety box, hangers and drawers containing disposable slippers and laundry bag. The bathroom had a glass wall that can be covered with an automatic roller bind. There was a separate shower cubicle and bathtub in the bathroom. Shower came with a regular shower head and a rain-shower head. The hotel provided showering gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and body lotion for four. Four sets of towels in various sizes were also provided. Both rooms had a large LCD TV and separate air-conditioning controls. We were a family of 5 with 3 kids (5, 10 and 12). My elder 2 slept in the twin-bedded room while the youngest slept with my husband and I on the king-size bed with no discomfort. Plenty of pilows in different sizes and degrees of softness/hardness were provided.
Location is great, Langham shopping mall next door across an inter-connecting bridge. Shopping mall had lots of restaurants, bakeries and snack stalls and a MacDonald. The other side of the hotel is a traditional market if you want to experience the local life-style. Several Cha Chan Teng (food outlets serving simple but tasty meals that cost about 10HKD per person) are also nearby. if you want to eat at the famous dimsun at Tim Ho Wan, the nearest branch can be found at Olympian city 15 minutes walk away. Last minute shopping for HK and Macau cookies can be done at Koi Kei and Kee Wah shops both a few streets away.

It's easy to give this hotel 5 stars it's right in the centre of Hong Kong manic life but yet you can be in a different world in the hotel and the nine story shopping and entertainment centre attached.

The rooms was comfortable and the most comfortable bed I ever slept in ,I never made the gym on the 43rd floor but made the bar each night for drinks and staff were attentive and polite as were all the Hotel staff so helpful.
