Diamond in the Rough. My girlfriend and I stayed at LHP for 2 nights. It's in Mongkok, and all of the happening places are about 15-20 minutes away by train, and 100 HKD by taxi. It would really be helpful if you buy the 3-day MTR pass if staying at LHP. Now the good part...We stayed at the Club Rooms, and it was pretty standard because it wasn't that spacious. The exclusivity was key because not anyone may access rooms above the 36th floor. It was always well maintained and all the amenities were first class. It was definitely a room for honeymooners or a weekend getaway with a loved one. Then theres CLub L. Its a quaint lobby on the 36th floor that serves as a chill out lounge with all your hedonistic needs. They offer snacks and drinks 24-7, breakfast until 11am, cocktails and champagne from 6-8pm, and massage chairs that face a huge fish tank, etc, etc, etc. all these for FREE. I was blown away with the amenities because you can basically just pig out in the lounge area, eat some good cheese, drink champagne, and enjoy the view, and not worry about paying for anything. It feels like you're at home, and yet have first class service. On our last day, since our flight was at 9:55pm, they let us stay and lounge and settle down before the long trip home. I figured, after a long and tiring day of shopping around the city, if we had no place to rest, relax and recharge, our trip would have ended awful. Fortunately, Langham Place gave the best service and provided the best amenities. Full props to its professional and very accomodating staff! My girlfriend and I can't stop talking about it on our way back home. Nice.

I can say little more that perfection.

Room was dramatic, high quality and staff, food and everything else backed this up.

A memeral place to stay, staff advise on where to go and book for you if you want, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

We stayed at Langham Place for a two-night holiday in their standard double room. The hotel is very luxorious and right in the center of all of the markets, so very central location. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and always courteous. The room was very small, but this seems to be standard for Hong Kong. We were travelling with our 4-month old baby and the staff was great about setting up a nice crib and even giving us a basket of baby necessities (baby soap, lotion, etc).

The workout room is amazing - one of the best we have used (and we've used a lot). Overall, a great hotel and a bit of luxury as long as you don't mind the small rooms.

Stayed for 5 nights in June 2008. The room was a little small, but the bathroom was quite elegant and spacious. Bed was wonderful and luxurious and pillows were fantastic. Highly recommend joining the business club (500 HK/night) which includes breakfast for two, free internet in room and/or lounge. spacious lounge with free drinks and food open 24 hours, and free newspapers in various languages. Staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful in all respects. All in all just a great place!!

First impressions are good, but if you take a closer look you might not be so happy. I have stayed here almost weekly for the last six months. This hotel is glamorous, with well appointed (if small) rooms, stylish bathrooms and hi-tech gadgets. The staff are efficient, the spa, health club and pool are well appointed and the location is great. However the bathtub in most rooms I have stayed has black mould around it from the water which does not drain away, and often wets the floor making it a slip hazard. The room attendants start cleaning from 6.30am, so expect to be woken early to the clanging of metal rubbish bins on marble bathroom floors, and the slamming of doors. Especially if you are in rooms --05 to --14 which are near the service area. The beds are extremely firm and the pillows very soft, so call for a feather pad to be placed over the mattress if you don't want to wake up sore. Several times the TV remote, the TV itself of the hi-tech telephone have broken and had to be changed. You can get a bigger and better room for the same money!

We are on a 6 month round world tour with two small children (4 and 2) We took a Langham suite with access to CLUB L and this is one of the best hotels we've stayed at. The service was impeccible, the concierge answered all our questions. Club was definitely worth having. Food at the PLACE was brilliant. Recommend the buffet. Chef provides great childrens meals (recommendthe baby shepherds pie ) Suite was quite small - this is typical for HK. When we talked to the concierge he recommended the Resident suite for families with an extra room if you have larger children because it has a kitchennette. Right on top of the MTR which means everything is a short ride away. Main shopping areas are right here. Swimming pool is fab with excellent view (42nd floor) and the spa and gym are 6* really amazing. Unless you really want HK Island this place is impossible to beat for value for money. Enjoy
