“Simply The Best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

Again I'm writing my review a little late - I stayed at the Langham Place Hotel in late November 2012. Hong Kong was our final stop during our China holiday - we had been to Shanghai and Beijing for 2 weeks and finished up in Hong Kong for 3 nights. There were 4 of us travelling and we had not anticipated the amount of luggage we would have (as most girls do - we shopped up a storm in Mainland China). It finally dawned on us that we would be getting into HK and most likely need 2-3 taxis to ferry all our luggage to the hotel! So I called ahead and asked Langham if they would be able to provide some transfers for us at short notice - the operator was onto it straight away and managed to secure a mini-van to pick us up from the airport for a small fee (hallelujah!). On arriving at HK airport - we went straight to the LH service desk (right near the arrivals gate) and were greeted with a tray of cool refreshments and toiletrie bags (so nice!). We were then met by 2 sturdy young men who carried all our luggage for us to the waiting mini-van. And not just any old mini-van, a brand spanking shiny new mini-van! Heavenly! On arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by amazing staff who whisked us away to our room, where we were able to take advantage of the "in-room check-in" option. No waiting in line at the check-in desk!! :-) There was a small issue with our room in that we were giving a smoking room as opposed to a non-smoking room. The smell was very strong regardless of the amounts of airfreshner - however there were no family suites available in the non-smoking wing that night. So the staff provided a humidifier type device for the night which was fine. The next morning, we were whisked into our new non-smoking room a few floors up. We left to take in the sights that morning and all our room moving needs were performed before we returned :) The hotel itself is very modern and connected to the Langham Place Mall directly next door. Due to the huge array of options for meals and activities around the hotel - we did not have any meals there so cannot comment on those. However, the location of the hotel is very central to trains (Mongkok station is right at the doorstep). We visitied Disneyland during our visit and the train took us from doorstep to doorstep seamlessly. The staff at the Langham Place were amazing and always willing to help, the facilities immaculate and modern with splashes art work and sculptures throughout the hotel. We did visit the pool on the rooftop but never got a chance to test it out - it was amazing however with complete views across HK harbour. Ladies market is a 5 minute walk for those wanting to get some shopping in - as well as a multitude of restaurants and shops. HK Harbour is a short train ride to watch the light show at night as well as take in the harbour views and activities. All in all an amazing stay at a wonderful hotel. Will definately be back - thank you Langham Place!

Room Tip: Always specify smoking or non-smoking. For non-smokers, the smoking rooms will still smell like smok...

If you want to experience hong kong and not be surrounded by westerners all day then langham place in monkok is fantastic.
Before arriving in hong kong we organized an airport express return pass which cost 285hkd online and you pick it up at the airport or at either honk kong or kowloon station after catching the airport express from the airport. It gives you a return trip from the airport and 3 days of travel in hong kong and you get 50hkd refund when you return the card at the airport. also you can check in your luggage at kowloon station on the way out of hong kong.(can do this with octopus card as well).
Langham place was a first rate hotel and for 300 aud a night, (includes 10% tax you pay at check out) even though not being a bargain hotel, it included club L privileges, which made it worth it. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at the hotel and especially Edson, who found us great restaurants and tourist spots (shopping and sightseeing). The pool and spa are beautiful and in the mens&womens toilets there are a sauna, steam room and a really hot 44 degree spa. There is complimentary food and alcohol served in the club L lounge all day and night (alcohol until 1am).Each night between 6-8 pm they put on french champagne and with the arrangement of hot/cold foods on offer, it is an amazing way to start your evening .Then when you come back from dinner etc, pop back in for a nightcap and sit in the massage chairs in front of the big fish tank. The hotel is right next to the metro/subway, so getting to hong kong island/kowloon is quick and easy. We highly recommend this hotel and are taking the kids back with us next year.

Room Tip: club L in a corner room facing hong kong island.highest floor possible above 36

This is my second time staying at Langham Place. Reason? This is one of the most affordable 5-star hotel which I can find in Hong Kong. We managed to get a good deal online for the Sweet Place (which I think is one of the most basic suites in the hotel) with Club L privileges. We did pay a tad more for a suite than the Essential Place but we did not regret our decision.

The hotel is located very conveniently next to the Langham, a shopping mall, with connections to the Mongkok MTR station. It is also within walking distance to the Ladies' Market and a lot of good eating places. Hang Hueng bakery and Koi Kei are also within walking distance. Mongkok MTR is also just one MTR station away from Olympic shopping mall where the new 添好运 is located.

As for the hotel itself, it is a pleasant experience just browsing all the art pieces located within the hotel. It is just like an art gallery. I especially like the paintings on the walls outside the Club L. Club L serves a good selection of snacks throughout the day. I didn't use the Club services that much, except for breakfast and night snacks one night. But it was indeed a very relaxing place to unwind after a long day of shopping.

The suite was of a good size with nice comfortable bed, 2 flat screen TVs, and a small kitchenette. The bed linen was of a very high quality. The view from the 38th floor was also very good. We can see the new Ritz Carlton towering building from our room. Everything that is provided by the hotel was tastefully designed, including the small hand massager that was given to us at turn down service. It was in the shape of an octopus. So cute! They even offered us jellybeans at turndown one night.

A very enjoyable stay and I won't hesitate to go back again.

I am a season traveller staying at numerous 4 and 5 star hotels around the world every month. This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed at. The food, the rooms, the location, are just a few of the excellent aspects of this hotel. The gym, and pool on the top floors are fantastic and the MTR station is literally across the road in the huge shopping centre with many western brands on show. The staff are friendly and professional and I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. A stay here is like a breath of fresh air. Wifi, often very poor at other hotels, is fast and reliable and comes in fast or super fast. The fast one is more than adequate.

Overall a superb hotel.

We spent 7 nights at the langham place hotel. The service was exquisite everyone was so kind and helpful. The rooms were a great size that we didn't feel cramped and they were impeccably clean. Anything we needed the staff would help provide.

The x team (concierge) were great at providing advice on the best things to do but also provided opinions on the easiest or cheapest ways to get places without ever pushing their own services. When we asked about airport transfers they gave us their price and time for travel and the taxi and train prices and travel times.

'The Place' restaurant on the lobby level had the most helpful staff and chefs. I have food allergies and they were always making sure I had enough to eat and Chef Andrew was fantastic advising me on foods I could eat outside of the hotel and what to be careful of.

The only negative experience of the stay was our dinner at the two Michelin star 'Ming Court' restaurant. The service was absolutely terrible. We waited an hour after ordering for them to tell us they had run out of what we ordered and we had to start again. Not to mention we never got a drinks menu and when we ordered water it never came.

Overall, the hotel is amazing. Central to everything and across the road from Mongkok MTR station. So easy to get everywhere. Highly recommend staying here. Great value for money. I will definately return

I got married with my wife in this hotel back in 2005. Ever since, whenever we returned to Hkg, we never failed to stay in this hotel. Now, even with our kids, this hotel is forever on our top priority list. It is very accessible in terms of getting all your shopping done within the mall next to it; or surrounding. Also, easily connected via public transport system. Room is forever clean with top quality cleaning. Staff is responsive and fast in providing services requested. Gym at 41st level is very impressive that I jog on every morning, before start off our daily sight seeing... It's every single dollar well spent!!

While the central Kowloon location may not be the best for business travellers, it more than make up for it with the service extremely helpful staff. I normally stay in the club rooms and love the small touches that they do that put a smile on your face and make good, great.

Also - I love the outdoor roof top pool :) one of my favourites
