The hotel is situated on the water which lends itself to spectacular views. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the beds are SO! comfortable. The breakfast is very good and the selection is extensive.

The staff are extremely professional and nothing is an issue. The bell boys are polite and very helpful. The hotel is near to all the restaurants and is near to the ferry which gives you easy access to Hong Kong Island.

Room Tip: Become an ambassador (Cost is US$200) if you are going to stay more than 2 days. The internet is then free and they give you a free upgrade to a nicer room every time you stay at any Intercontinental hotel worldwide.

The harbour view rooms were impressive. The bed was really comfortable and all the amenities provided for. The chambermaids did a good job tidying up the room spotlessly everyday. The hotel had a free shuttle bus to the Airport express which was good. The location was at Tsim Tsa Tsui East. This is not too bad if your expectations are managed and you do not assume it being in the middle of TST.

The reception was not amongst the friendliest. This could see some improvement. The concierge taking care of the luggage were fast and efficient. I never like showers in bath tubs hence didn't really like the toilet. The furnishings in the room were pretty old, but nothing much to complain about.

I don't recall toilets in the lobby. Quite troublesome to walk down to the basement.

Breakfast spread was pretty average. Skip the dim sum as any local dim sum will be much better. I am not sure why I had to sign for the breakfast bill even though it was complimentary. Minor hassle that could be avoided.

Room Tip: Choose a harbour view room. If there isn't any or it is too expensive, probably can skip as the price for the average room isn't too value for money.

This is my usual hotel when in Hong Kong. Great place and I have reviewed it in the past.
On arrival this time, everything was as normal until my one day off when i went all packed off to the roof top pool for a day or r&r ONLY TO FIND THAT IT'S ALL CLOSED UP AND NOBODY HAD BOTHERED MENTION THIS AT TIME OF RESERVATION.

IF YOUR HEADING FOR THIS HOTEL IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS AND LIKE A SWIN OR SUNBATHING - CANCEL NOW !

My weekend is ruined now ,
Thanks Intercontinental

Room Tip: They never ask if you want a sea view, so you should ask

The rooms have unique elements (the floor to ceiling window was a huge plus) and the staff are courteous and helpful to a fault. My partner and I were with his older, non-Chinese speaking relatives and we needed a comfortable and highly rated place to go for dinner. We found one, but worried about the logistics, asked the Club Room manager to help us make a booking. Not only did she make sure we had a booking for the correct amount of people, restaurant and time, she also called in what looked like a personal or professional favour to get us the best seat in the house.

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The Club Rooms are SO WORTH IT. Free breakfast, free cocktails, canapes and access to the business centre. Excellent service and a room with the best view!

My stay at the Intercontinental was just amazing. Its just 100m away from the bus stop and hardly 500m from the Metro station. Located very near to the shopping street on Mody road, it provides one of the best and a luxurious stay. The rooms are very spacious with all the amenities one would need during travel. The best part was that we got upgraded to a Harbour view Suite for no extra cost and they did so without any hesitation because we were a family of three. A few unique things which separates it out from other 5 stars is that every room has an i-pod dock and the mini-bar is not that expensive and has a wide range of drinks to choose from. Every guest is welcomed with a customized message as soon as one switches on the TV.

The most amazing part which surprised me was The Pillow Menu. Yes, they have a complete menu of Pillows which offers a unique sleeping experience. Scented pillows, Ayurvedic pillows, Neck-support pillows, 5ft Long pillows are a few of the 8 options available. The hotel is always full of Indians and it comes as a great advantage. They have an Indian chef who makes amazingly tasty Indian food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We stayed during the Christmas week and that was an added benefit. There were different kinds of celebrations every evening and the hotel was decorated with beautiful flowers and works of art.

The hotel staff is very friendly and completely dedicated to its customers. Thanks to their loyalty and honesty that they helped me retrieve my newly bought Laptop, which I had forgotten in the lobby. The check-in and check-out formalities are very fast and every guest is made to feel special with their warmth service, right from the entrance till you leave the hotel. I had a late night flight but had to check-out in the afternoon itself. So, they suggested me to put the luggage at the concierge desk and also let me use the shower at the Gym area when I came back in the evening, for no extra charge. This helped us a lot as my parents wanted to freshen-up after roaming around through-out the day. In the end, all I want to say is that a stay at The Intercontinental Grand Stanford is worth every penny of it and its royalty will make you feel like a King.

Room Tip: Do ask for a Harbour View room. It's definitely worth it
