We decided to stay at Metropark Mongkok as recommended by our friend and the good rate that the hotel had offered. We stayed here for 5 nights and we love it. Hotel room is in good size and clean. The location of hotel is perfect to us, very near to Prince Edward mtr and many good eateries around hotel. One dim sum, Kam Wah cafe, Yee Shun Milk company, Wah Xian cafe & Macau Tsui Yuen restaurant are all within walking distance.
Overall the hotel stay was very pleasant & satisfied.

Usually stay at Langham Place for our long weekend retreat, but this month we busted our trip budget on CX's crazy airfares for the Aug 8-11 weekend and had to settle on a cheaper hotel - Metropark Mongkok, at USD114 per night for a standard room w/o breakfast.

The location was good - at the centre of the Kowloon Peninsula right smack in the middle of bustling Mongkok, within walking distance of Prince Edward MTR, and with all buses at the stop right next to the Hotel's main entrance leading to the Star Ferry and the Kowloon waterfront promenade. We took the airport bus A21 (only HKD33 per adult) which dropped us off right at the hotel's doorsteps. An easy walk to the street markets at Sai Yeong Choi St/Tong Choi St, and a 15 minute stroll to Langham Place Mall. The bus to Disneyland is just five minutes' walk away along Nathan Road.

As with other Metropark Hotels in HKG, Metropark Mongkok is very popular among PRC tour groups. The lobby is a hive of activity in the mornings and around 9:30pm at night with tour groups assembling next to the main entrance. A short wait to check in but the process was speedily completed in less than 10mins by a male officer who spoke fluent English.

We were lucky to be upgraded to a room on their 'Business Floor' away from the hordes of rowdy mainland tourists. Although the hotel is not new, our room appeared to have been refurbished recently. It was clean and spacious, with a couch and coffee table, and windows overlooking the crowded old buildings in Mongkok (see photos). We did not have any problems with street noise, but did not sleep very well as the mattress was rock hard. Being on the Business Floor meant we had unlimited access to free wifi :-). Bathroom was clean, with basic toiletries and good water pressure. Hotel/room ratings are based on our being upgraded to the Business Floor; had we been assigned the standard room we had booked on the same floor as the tour group residents, I daresay we would not have had such a pleasant stay.

You really can't beat the accessibility and location of this Metropark property when staying in Hong Kong. The reception desk is literally meters away from the Airport bus A33 stop. This is a major selling point when you've just landed from a 10+ hours flight and need to rest your weary body, mind, and soul. If travelling to any point in Guangdong, China, there are ticket offices, money exchangers, and the bus stops themselves are located just outside the hotel. Food and shopping, ranging from cheap to expensive) are conveniently in the neighbourhood, or a short MTR (Prince Edward Station exit C2) ride away.
When I encountered a problem, it was immediately addressed by the Assistant Manager. I think the key was to let management know as soon as possible so that a mutual satisfying solution could be found. I was pleased with the effort.
I stayed a total of two weeks but separated by a trip to China (9 nights + 5 nights). They were able to accommodate my baggage needs by securely storing the pieces I didn't need until I came back to stay at the Metropark Mongkok.
The room was of reasonable size, given this is HK. I would have like to see the bathroom renovated as the fixtures were dated and there were signs of mold, but the water pressure was fine. Internet connection was free and through a LAN line. I did not experience any problem with this. I brought my laptop with me. The housekeeping staff was friendly and efficient.
I did not have an opportunity to sample any of the hotel's dining facilities. My room rate did not come with any breakfast buffet coupons. As a sign of good faith after resolving my accommodation problem, I would have welcomed a breakfast buffet coupon so that I may have a chance to dine in, but it was not offered. I would have reviewed the breakfast buffet if I had tried it.
I've stayed here on multiple occasions, almost annually, and would continue to consider the Metropark Mongkok as my "pied-à-terre" in Hong Kong.

Stayed twice at this hotel due to its location in Mongkok, a vibrant place Less than 5mins walk to prince Edward MTR, which can get you to almost anywhere in HK. Walk around nearby vicinity to Ladies market and with rows and rows of shops offering almost anything. Famous Macau's cookies shop near to Ladies Market at Acarlye Street.

At night, do not forget to try the noodle shop across the hotel (side entrance on the left of the hotel) which serves delicious wantan noodle soup. Around the corner, there are buses to Mainland China. Room is okay and free internet via LAN cable (provided). Overall, satisfied with the hotel & services provided. Miss Harvey (hope the name is correct) at the reception is quite helpful.

The best thing that I like is the lication of the hotel. It is very strategic, near the Prince Edward MTR station and Ladies Market. If you get hungry in the middle of the night you don't have to worry because there are a lot of foods that you can get by foot.
The room in which I stayed was pretty small, the ceiling was pretty low. And the lobby was small, there were no place for sitting. Well, considering almost everything in Hong Kong has limited space I can't say I'm surprised. But the room service, cleanliness, and breakfast are good. So if you want to spend all day around Hong Kong and only need the hotel to rest, and if don't want to spend too much money on hotel but you want a proper one, I reccomend you this hotel.

I use this hotel for short stays and transient business trips. The main reason is that the hotel is a stones throw away from Prince Edward station. This would be just 30 minutes from the airport on 2 line changes, 5 minutes from the shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui and about 8 minutes form Central. From the points of interest, it would be very easy to get to this hotel. However, do not expect much from the accommodations as they are very basic. My main issue is that the beds are really not very comfortable, so if you plan to sleep in or stay in bed the whole day to rest, this would not be the hotel for you. But if you are in a bit of a rush and are looking to hop on and off the MRT at an instant, this hotel might be worth considering. The rate is fair compared to the other hotels in Kowloon, but the accessibility would be the best selling point of Metropark Mongkok.

The hotel room is clean and spacious, free wifi provided in the room. Near MTR station (Prince Edward Station), just 5 minutes away. Got a 24 hour eating outlet next to hotel. Easy to catch a taxi to airport. They also have bus to transfer you to the airport available at certain time slot. You have to pay for the service. The hotel staff are friendly. The Lychee restuarant at Level1 serve good dim sum. Ladies Market, Flower Market are within walking distance.

Room Tip: check the floor area when making a booking for hotel room in Hong Kong as some hotel rooms are very...
