“Most impressive hotel”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

We had the time of our life in this hotel. Our room was at the top with a stunning view of the bay that really makes you feel like you’re on the top of the world. Everything here is at the highest standards, from your room, to the staff that will overdo themselves to make your accommodation perfect. Liked the artificial Laguna from the 11’th floor and the exquisite Grand Club at 31’th floor is a definite an advantage. In all my travels this is the hotel that impressed me the most. I just can’t find the words to describe how it will make you fell, that’s why I recommend you to try it and see.

We were here for a quick stop over on our last honeymoon night. Luckily for us we got upgraded to one of the new rooms, and they are really nice! Also a lovely bottle of champagne was given to us so that was a really sweet gesture. Great location near the metro too.
The only niggle was that it was perhaps a bit expensive (not that they can help it) but we ordered a quick room service dinner (small stuff) and it came to £80, also we stupidly pressumed that breakfast was included in our rate and it wasnt!!! They also arent keen for you to have late check outs. Which i can understand as they are are a busy hotel, so if you want you room for longer then you have to pay. One Harbour Road restaurant fantastic!

A friend and I stayed here for five days in early October 2013 and got a great deal as we were one floor below the renovation works. Very little noise - only muffled drilling and banging between 9 am and 54 pm weekdays. It is the quietest hotel I have stayed at.

The room was small and a little tired looking but amenities and service were outstanding.

Dining at One Harbour Road and the Grand Café was excellent although most of our eating was done at places outside the hotel.

Good location close to Wan Chair ferry terminal and train station, shops and harbour.

Cannot wait to go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour view room above the 15th floor

The views we had from our room were amazing!!
The whole harbour lies at your feet.
Nice size room with a double bed. There was even enough place to put in a full size single bed for our 5 yr old, without the room seeming full.
Do take the breakfast buffet. It is worth every penny, such a breakfast I haven't seen or eaten in a long time.
Highest quality and great presentation.
We had noise do to the renovation, but it was only during the day. Of which we were not much in the room.

A great stay for the week we were there.

Warm greetings. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are delighted to learn that you have enjoyed our newly renovated guestrooms. Much thoughts have been put in the design and room sizes, as your said, are bigger, starting from 40 square meter.
Appreciate your compliments on the breakfast buffet. I will convey that to the chefs. Thank you once again for choosing to stay with Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back.

Stayed at this property for 5 nights recently and it was a done deal for me: this is simply the best hotel in Hong Kong winning hands down. I say this because despite running at 100% occupancy due to the Chinese Independence Day holidays, antique auction and several conferences next door at the exhibition center, performed well under pressure. The staff at the lobby right down to the housekeeping and breakfast buffet restaurant were working hard but were still professional and pleasant. My 1st choice for accommodation in Hong Kong.

The last time i stayed there no renovation started yet. Rooms are small but redone some years ago, only the bathrooms are still the same black or white marble from the day it opened with golden taps.... The size is ok when you have a harbor view giving you a grand feeling, if on the courtyard its feels cramped. Club is not my taste but its for sure one of the best grand clubs in terms of service and food. View is just great.
All dinning outlets are just very good and so is the service in any of them.

The spa, pool and outside sitting and restaurant are just great. It tends to get very busy on a nice day given the shared situation with adjoining hotel.

I have not been since they started to renovate but I am sure it will be great after.

Room Tip: Harbor view and club is what you should chose if you dont mind the extra money.

From the time we arrived at the hotel the service was great. Staff is very attentive from the bell captain to the spa staff. Their concierge staff was very helpful on places to go.
The hotel is very convenient to the ferry stations to get over to Kowloon. There are a couple of different restaurants to eat at; all of which were great from service to food.

Room Tip: Get a room with a harbor view
