we booked 2 rooms (2 single beds) at silka seaview for 4D/3N, rooms are small but always kept clean. beds and pillows are very comfortable. heater working fine. toiletries are replaced everyday. near to mtr, restaurants, bakery, night market and forex. very close to nathan road and mongkok - shopping district. loved their FREE Wifi :) accommodating staff special mention to "john" at the reception and the skinny bell boy - sorry i forgot the name. overall, we'll comeback and book here again in the future.

Room Tip: book rooms with 2 single beds, its more spacious than 1 double bed. corner rooms.

Silka Seaview is more or less in the heart of Hong Kong and is easily accessible via those fantastic metro trains. This hotel is also next to the Night Market where local vendors put up stalls and run their shops till late midnight. There are quite a number of restaurants nearby.

The rooms are quite tiny, but this is what you should expect for the money you pay in Hong Kong. The rooms are pretty well equipped with all amenities and are comfortable too. Breakfast buffet is good and the staff is friendly.
The staff at the reception will also help you get around the city and suggest the best possible option to travel.

Though this hotel is called "Seaview", the only sea-view you will get to see is a tiny glimpse of the sea from the restaurant!

I will definitely visit this hotel again!

Room Tip: pay more and get a bigger room if you like space!

This is a good place right near markets and not too badly priced! Breakfast is average and you have to pay for it! Its not too bad if you want something to fill you up before you start your day of sight seeing! Rooms are good beds are nice too! Make sure you ask for Non smoking rooms! Hallways can be quite stinky! Jade and night market are right next to this hotel! Nathan road is very close!

The resort is kept very clean and the gadgets/devices provided i.e. hair dryer, safe deposit box, etc. are functioning well. Wifi worked well in the room and it's only 5 minutes walk from the Yau Ma Tei MTR stop. However, the main downfall would be space. The room is too tiny for a couple. Also, our feet were left dangling on the edge of the bed during bedtime even though we aren't that tall (170cm and 182cm).

Dear Yvonne

Thank you for staying with us. Silka Hotels is the value brand under the Dorsett Hospitality International group and we take pride in the fact that even though we are a value-brand, we strive to provide full-fledged services as mentioned by yourself during your stay with us. Our hotel also offers complimentary scheduled shuttle service for the convenience of our guests. Cleanliness is also on our top priority list and we continuously strive to maintain the standard as expected by our guests.

However, in regards to the space, and as with most hotels in Hong Kong, unfortunately this is quite the accepted norm.

I have stayed in this hotel many times even before it was named Silka. The lobby and restaurant on the 19th floor have been refurbished beautifully. The hotel has a perfect location from the MRT, Nathan Road, night market, Mongkok and other interesting places. Their breakfast has greatly improved as well. Though the rooms are quite small, but most of the hotels in this category are really small. But what the heck, everything works at this hotel. Request for bathroom amenities is fast. There are plenty of small eateries around the hotel that serve excellent dimsum and chinese cuisine. What more can I say? Perfect!

For a family of 4 our room was tiny after they added in the extra bed. There was no room to move but we had no choice as the trip was last minute and there were no rooms left. Rooms were clean, new and modern. So that was a relieve! It was at a really good location though. 5 minutes walk to Yau Ma Tei station. Temple street night market is just downstairs and the Jade market is 5 minutes away in the opposite direction! Breakfast daily for us was McDonalds as the rooms didn´t include breakfast. HK McD is really cheap too!

Dear Makhruji

We are happy to learn that you have had an enjoyable stay with us despite the room situation. Indeed, the period of your stay was a busy month for us. Otherwise we do have different room categories to cater to the needs of our guests.

The hotel location is indeed one of our selling features and we are glad that you found this to be so. We look forward to be of service to you and your family again on your next visit.
