“Great hotel for business but not that great for pleasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. Overall my stay at Conrad was pleasant. In terms of location, it's connected to Pacific Place (Admiralty MTR), and close to key office buildings.
Room was spacious, bathroom (his and her taps, separate room for toilet) was clean, and bed was comfortable.
I have only 1 main grouse - wifi not included in my room rate and it wasn't cheap.

This isn't much life in the neighborhood after a certain hour ie 8 or 9 pm. This is unlike Kowloon and Causeway Bay where streets are always busy well past 11pm and an abundance of local food. As a tourist on a personal trip, I would stay at Causeway Bay over Pacific Place.

This used to be one of my favourite hotels in HK - but it has definitely dated. Good service, good location but I'll wait until it's been refurbished before I come back. Many better hotels available in the same price category.

Room Tip: Harbour view

We recently spent four nights at the Conrad HK and enjoyed every moment. Everything was perfect - on arrival we received a warm welcome from three porters at the door, who handled everything. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. We decided to change our room to Floor 58 and by the time we had reached the room our cases were already there.
As soon as we opened the door we saw this fantastic view of the harbour and Kowloon. The room was big with beautiful decor, high quality furnishings, mini-fridge, safe, iron & ironing board, crisp white bed linen nicely ironed, soft white towels, fantastic shower in a beautiful bathroom.
We had arrived on a National Holiday and were delighted to watch a 25 minute fireworks display over the harbour.
The executive lounge is a little small and can get very busy, but the service from the staff and the wonderful views made up for it.
We ate the buffet breakfast each morning in the Garden Cafe. The food was a mix of eastern and western cuisine all beautifully presented. The staff were extremely busy keeping the dishes well stocked.
The hotel lift takes you directly down to the huge shopping mall, which is very handy for retail therapy and eateries. There is a lovely park at the rear of the hotel which leads you to the Peak Tram.

We decided to pre-purchase a deluxe 48 hr Big Bus Tour ticket which gave us the opportunity to hop-on/hop-off around three routes, plus a sampan boat ride at Aberdeen, Peak Tram tickets, harbour cruise and ferry tickets.
For the Peak Tram ride we were glad we had the tickets as the queue was huge even at 10.00am in the morning, but we were able to walk straight in.
On Day One we managed the red and green routes around HK, plus the Peak Tram and sampan boat ride.
On Day Two we managed the blue route around Kowloon, the harbour cruise and the ferry rides.

Hong Kong airport is so easy to navigate and getting to downtown couldn't be easier. We had pre-paid a return ticket for the MTR train from the airport to HK station. There are three stops and takes around 20 mins. Once at the station you hop onto the free H1 shuttle bus from the station to your hotel taking around 20 mins. Departing HK was just as easy. Catch the free H1 shuttle from your hotel to the airport express train station (25 mins). At the station you check-in your hold luggage and proceed to the airport express train taking 20 mins. Your luggage will go straight through to the destination airport.
This amazing system is extremely pleasant due to the modern, clean, comfortable ride.

Hong Kong is a vibrant city both during the day and at night, easy to get around, and the wonderful Conrad HK hotel to stay in.

Coming to the end of a ten day business trip at the Conrad, while Conrad is not your standard Hilton it certainly shines for service, quality and staff than *any* hotel I have ever stayed in.

As per the other reviews the hotel is located in an excellent area, easy access to every and anything. Hong Kong park located just around the back is a great place to stroll round in the afternoon, managed to get some great photos of huge butterflies.

Harbour view gives you a fantastic panoramic view of both the harbour and cityscape.

The room is nothing special, tidy and nicely decorated, large tv, large bed which is comfortable. Bathroom and shower are well appointed and excellent range of toiletries. You are able to select the type you want at check in from a selection of 3.

On arrival I had a welcome tea, water, fruit and chocolates in the room, fruit, water and chocolate replenished every day.

Sat on the bed was your little Conrad teddy bear.

Room service, housekeeping and all hotel staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, I have never been made to feel more welcome anywhere before.

The executive lounge on floor 59 has some great views and food selections, but is too small for the number of executive level guests as you always had to wait to get a seat.

I holy recommend a little cafe just outside the mall called The Petite Cafe, the salads and pastries are to die for and so cheap.

I cannot fault the Conrad Hilton at all, some say it's a bit dated and yes it isn't an ultra modern hotel, but what you do get is more than enough and the prices are very reasonable (2200 per night plus tax), I will stay here again without doubt.

May use the pool and spa tomorrow before I leave, and haven't eaten in the restaurants maybe later..

First class hotel, first class staff, a credit to the management and the exceptional warmth of the team.

It's bit old now and I feel it needs a little bit of face lift but the service is good and I like the curry buffet lunch served in the lobby. Golden Leaf Restaurant offers one of the best dim sum. I from time to time stay here at Conrad and has been satisfied.

recently spent 2 days in Hong Kong and found this hotel location central to everything. Hong Kong is easy to get around using the public transport. This method is also cheap. Situated at Admiralty station, the hotel is close to the business district, the harbour and shopping. I found the hotel to have a quiet and dignified atmosphere, a little dated in appearance however the service and location I felt more than made up for that. I was there for business and we had a work function in one of the function rooms on the 7th floor. All went off seamlessly, no hitches. Good place to know of when doing business. would stay there again.

Room Tip: request one with a harbour view

Ive stayed here over 20 times so it can tbe too bad! but there are better choices nearby, The Shangri-la next door beats it for glamour and the Upper House wins on understated chic. Both are are definite notch up from the Conrad, All are better than the Mariott.

However thats tough competition and the Conrad is a great hotel. and for food the Conrad probably wins. Nicolini's is a world class restaurant and the other dining options are good too.

Service is top notch.
