We stayed in The Langham for 4 nights in mid-dec. I had initially wanted to book Langham Place, but there were no available rooms for the days we wanted. Decided to book The Langham instead. What a wise choice it turned out to be! This was supposed to be a shopping trip, so The Langham's proximity ( i meant really close proximity ) to Harbour City Shopping Centre was a huge plus for us. Harbour City is just 1 street away! my HK friend warned me that this is an old hotel but seriously folks, I couldn't tell its age, for it was well-maintained from the lobby to the rooms. The small lobby's deco was tastefully done in the Old European Style without being overtly pompous. I had booked 2 Grand Rooms but upon check-in, we were upgraded to their Grand Langham Rooms! The cosy and spacious rooms simply blew us away. Each day when we returned to the hotel, there will be 2 pink boxes of complimentary dark chocs + an update of tomorrow's weather, all placed on our bed. SWEET. At 5.30pm, a chambermaid will come by and ask us if we needed anything. Each day, a bucket of ice would be placed on the table w/o us asking.

Thank you The Langham for the memorable stay. The staff ( from doorman, chambermaids, the manager/wait staff at The Eclipse ) of The Langham makes this hotel standout from the rest. I will stay there again on my next trip.

Was in HK last week for our family vacation. We usually stay at the Marco Polo HK Hotel but wanted to try something new this time so chose The Langham. I reserved the room around 6 months ago so got a very good rate for the Langham Suite which included the use of The Langham club.

We chose to use the hotels limo service for our transfer as our flight was delayed & we (my husband, son & I) were a bit exhausted! Good choice because it was a smooth & relaxing 30 min. ride.

Upon arriving the hotel, as our limo doors were opened - we were personally greeted by "Jonathan" . Even got a pink rose. (Such a wonderful touch!)

We were then led to our suite where personalized check-in was done. Room amenities were shown & club facilities & features were introduced. Everything was perfect except for one thing - our room had a strong smell of cigarette/ smoke coming from the bathroom.

Complained about this immediately and an ionizer was sent. The smell became less but still could smell it up to the end of our stay. Did not bother to ask for another room anymore as my son was already "settled" in.

The rooms were "classic" european. The bed was heavenly (as advertised) - We could have stayed in the room the whole day. Wi-fi was free (came with the package) but it was a bit slow at times.

Our package included breakfast, tea, cocktails at the Langham club. Breakfast was wonderful! Not a large spread but just enough. It was quality more than quantity. We especially loved the dimsum! My son ate only 2 things during our stay in HK (Fried Chicken & the Hakaw @ the Langham club)

The location is ideal especially for those who have shopping on their mind. The DFS (duty free) is just right beside it & luxury boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Hermes, Cartier, Lane Crawford etc... are all a few steps away.

Package included personalized check-out - i have no idea what this means so i did not know what to expect. Anyway - unlike the (check-in in the room), Had to go down to the front desk for our check-out. No problems though as it was just a short wait & a smooth transaction

Over-all, we had a pleasant & memorable stay at the Langham & would definitely be back!

Room Tip: Pay extra for the Langham club privileges - it worth it!

Spent 4 nights at the Langham recently. Excellent hotel to stay at. Perfect location - close to MTR and Ocean Terminal shopping centre is located right next door.

Stayed in a deluxe room with king bed (very comfortable!) - and had a rollaway bed included for stepson. Still enough room to get a around, but a little tight with the rollaway. Only criticism of the room is that the shower is very small. Which is incredibly surprising given the overall bathroom is very large! With two access doors to the bathroom my suggestion would be (if they ever refurbish it) to close off one bathroom door and use that additional space to expand the size of the shower cubicle.

Breakfast buffet is absolutely fantastic. Eastern and western options. Great selection/range and all packed with flavour. Wonderful way to start each morning.

Staff very helpful and polite. No issues at all.

Room Tip: We had a bedroom that faced the adjoining building, so there was no street noise at night time and v...

We had booked a room with club benefits. When we arrived at 7am we expected to have to wait till around 2pm or a bit earlier before checking into our room. Instead they apologised for our room not being ready yet, took us up to the club lounge and insisted we have breakfast while they finished preparing our room. This obviously was a fantastic start to our holiday, especially after a long tiring flight. Our room was ready within minutes but we had a leisurely breakfast and then were taken to our room where our luggage was waiting. The room and ensuite were absolutely gorgeous, we had a spa bath and lovely shower and could open louvre windows into the bedroom. The beautiful pink stationary is just exquisite. The bed was so inviting and comfortable, just like sleeping on a cloud. Our windows just looked out over a street, but that didn't matter, we didn't have time to notice, and we had got an extremely good price for this gorgeous hotel. The club lounge offer drinks and a large variety of very tasty snacks every evening, which we enjoyed. One of the hotel restaurants has a buffet dinner each night. The variety of food is absolutely astounding, and the huge variety of seafood is all freshly prepared just before you select it. The staff throughout the hotel are very professional, friendly and very lovely. The space in the entrance/reception area is huge, the decor is very luxurious and the huge flower display on the table was just breathtaking, it all feels very opulent. The hotel is in the perfect location, minutes from the Star Ferry Terminal, and minutes in the other direction from the train station. The train station is an experience in itself. Its very easy to get around, not the usual crowding etc and extremely fast. The train arrives behind a clear screen, and the doors don't open till the train has actually stopped and the train doors open. So no chance of accidently being pushed or falling on to the rail tracks etc . We took the ferry over to HongKong Island most days, and did different trips. The queues for some attractions are extremely LONG, expect to be in a queue for an hour maybe longer. We also took a couple of bus trips on the local buses, to the other side of the island. This was a really fantastic and cheap way to have a look around. Especially upstairs at the front, on the double decker buses. We also took local ferrys to different islands to have a look around. Local brochures show the ferrys and buses to take to the different attractions, which cost barely a fraction of the tour price, and you can enjoy the things you like, and leave when you want. We found this a fantastic way to have a good look around.
We had a week in Hongkong, and really loved it. We'll definitely stay in this hotel again!!

I stayed here over the holiday break and the hotel was full.I don't think that is an excuse for the inconsistent staff but it makes it more understandable. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and of a high standard. The desk staff are clumsy & slow but very nice.Overall I wouldn't bother again but none of the problems spoilt my holiday but I did feel it wasn't value for money.

Dear YYoo,

Thank you very much for taking the time in sharing your feedback in relation to your stay with us.

It is upsetting to note the inconsistency in service you experienced during your stay with us. You did not receive the level of service that we strive to achieve as a five star establishment and would ask that you accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience it caused. The Langham Hong Kong prides itself on exceeding our guests’ expectations through exceptional customer service and we obviously did not achieve this goal during your stay.

Regardless of whether you stay with us during our busy months or not, we endeavour to provide a consistent personalised service to all our guests. That said I would be most grateful if you are able to make contact with me directly to discuss your experience in further detail. In the interim, I would like to highlight that we are most grateful to you for bringing these matters to our attention, as it is only through constructive criticism such as yours that we are able to constantly monitor and improve our hotel operation more closely.

YYoo, despite your experience, I do very much hope that I will have the opportunity in the future to welcome you back and extend to you the true Langham service that we are renowned for.

Yours Sincerely,

Dean Dimitriou

We staid in Langham for Christmas and new Year this year and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel personal really did everything possible for the stay to be perfect. The room was ready upon arrival we did not need to wait for it, but in case you do, you can be provided with a invitation for a free drink at the bar, which is nice, I think. I was very impressed with the concierge convince. The guys called a restaurant for us for two days (!) to book a table, which they eventually did, they booked us a trip on a duckling boat and also provided loads of helpful advice, on restaurants and shopping.
The room was good, albeit a bit small and the bathroom was rather old. But I really like the design in pastel colors and the room had everything you could expect from a 5 star hotel. But the greatest thing about it is that we managed to get a partial view of the fireworks on the new years eve which was unexpected and very pleasant!!!
The hotel is also very nicely located, just 5 minutes from star ferry and very close to Nathan road and TST MTR.

I spent a week at this gorgeous hotel and loved every minute. The room was beautifully appointed, as you'd expect from this type of establishment, but it was the big bath and the internal window that let me watch HBO movies that really won me over. As a bath and movie tragic I had two baths a day and was grateful for the bath crystals and other bathing accoutrements. The bath was the perfect size if you're average to tall height, you can read and watch television without getting a sore neck and can add water using your toes to turn on the taps, bliss! The bed, pillows and linen were equally divine and the nighty-night notes with cutesy quotes and chocolate were a charming touch.

Room Tip: If you love baths then ask for a room with a bath because it's not a standard feature.
