Stayed here for three nights in December with my daughter. Hotel advantages: very convenient to transportation and Starbucks, clean, nice gym (opens at 6), friendly and helpful staff. Did not eat in the restaurant or use Internet or laundry facilities, which were pricey. The location of the hotel is great, just a short block to Metro. Ate breakfast at Starbucks to take advantage of free 20 minute Internet use.

Room Tip: Had upper floor (23rd). No noise on floor.

Well if you are looking for a friendly & pleasant Hotel in Hong Kong then this is the place for you, it is just a short tram ride (0.25p) from the main hustle & bustle of the island itself, & as the trams, taxis, buses are very inexpensive and regular you are never very far away from the main attractions, although saying this the hotel do offer a complementary bus that drops of and picks up on a regular basis, so the options are yours.

The breakfast buffet was plentiful and well priced, there was nothing that you could not get, all you had to do was ask, the staff were always pleasant and very helpful at all times, & many thanks to Gary Wong for all that he did.

Our room was harbour facing and very clean and tidy, everything that you needed & as it was to celebrate my 50th / 25th anniversary there was even a greeting from the staff and a gift to, which made all the difference.

As this was a revisit from when I lived there back in the 70's I was amazed just how in some respects it had changed but not in others.

I can recommend the trips, there are well priced and pack a lot in but allow a day in between to rest, make sure you read all the small print as they may take you to a factory on the sell sell, worth looking around but don't bother purchasing.

When you want to get over to the mainland just get the tram down town to the main street and a short walk later you will be at the Ferry terminal, the Star Ferry is great weekdays (0.25p) each way & weekends (0.35p), there is change given.

A trip you have just got to do is the Lantau Island - Ning Ping Cable Car, Big Budha and Fishing Village, it is a great day out as all the trips were, but by far this was the most fun, you get food in the monastery which was very good but only tea available so take some water, as you should always take bottled water anyway.

There is so much to do here now best to plan ahead, & enjoy as we did.

Stayed at deluxe room with side harbour view for business trip

Like:-
- Room cleaned everyday by the time we got back to the hotel at around 5-6pm
- Hotel staff were friendly and approachable whenever we need to ask about thing i.e. query on transportation etc
- Hotel lobby was cozy and comfortable. Happy hours 1 for 1 from 5-8pm.
- Free hotel shuttle within Hong Kong island
- Kudos to the hotel doorman (on duty on 24 Feb 2013 morning), who braved the morning coldness to help flag cabs for hotel guests.
- Near to Quarry Bay MTR. Just opposite the road. <5min walk
- Starbucks, Market Place, Pizza Hut located just opposite hotel (along the way to MTR).
- Lotz Cha Chang Ting (Hong Kong style cafe) along the main road outside the hotel. McDonald is located <5min walk away.
- North Point best egg tart located at an unknown bakery just before the entrance to MTR.

Dislike:-
- Despite it's a 4-5 stars hotel, it does not come with free internet (HKD130/day) or breakfast. Buy the prepaid card (HKD88) for 1 week data plan (HKD78 only) and go opposite for breakfast more worth it.
- Feels weird having to take an escalator up to the hotel lobby.
- Everything was fine for the 1st few days but the last night was the worst hotel experience. Group(s) of PRC guests checked in and several were staying on my level. They kept slamming their hotel room door or knocked against the wall. And it was around 11 plus pm midnight.

We enjoyed this hotel in the main despite having to work hard to get into our room before 12 noon. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was about £11 sterling and was excellent, however there was nothing in the area to go to instead because we were well away from the main attractions. Peak tram and avenue of stars are well out of range to walk but a taxi cost about £8 sterling each way and the taxis are metered, which helps. The lounge is comfortable with reasonably priced snacks and expensive drinks ( £5 approx for a small beer). Staff in general are excellent and there is wifi available but at a cost of about £11 per day sterling or about £4 per 15 minutes in the business centre. If you're not bothered about the location then this is a good hotel, despite the add ons being a little pricey in our view.

Room Tip: I only saw our room and they told us it was an upgrade because ours wasn't ready so We have noth...

Arrived we were efficiently given a key to our 'Harbour club' serviced suite on the 33rd and top floor!
The suite had a kitchen, a dining table, a living room area, a double bedroom and a bathroom with floor length windows looking out onto the harbour, it was such a nice view!
The room was very clean and lots of different toiletries were left out in the bathroom.
The service in the hotel was brilliant and the free shuttle bus was an added bonus.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

This hotel is average hotel, clean, staff friendly and spacious rooms. I would describe this hotel as functional hotel not luxury. Rooms maybe considered a little bit dated. Beds ok but no luxury. I stayed here for business and it was very convenient, however I wouldn't stay here if I was on holidays. Internet was expensive, the place just average. Food was ok. The place really needs a face lift in my opinion. I would stay for business but nothing else.

The hotel is not necessarily in the tourists' attraction area, but the hotel offers complimentary bus services to Central (AEL HK station), and also to the nearby One Island East (business tower complex) every 30 minutes, from 7AM to evening. (the last depends on routes, so get the timetable at the hotel reception)
The room furnishings are comparable to hotels such as Best Western, and offers both wired and wireless LAN by a daily charge.

Room Tip: Very good value, great to use as a budget base camp for your business trip. (Generally not recommen...
