This hotel was fine--loved the views of the harbor and there's a promenade in front that is lovely-- but what I want to emphasize is that although it's a little out of the way, there is a shuttle every half hour between the hotel and a place very close to the Star Ferry to Central in Hong Kong, which is the locus of a lot of things. If we had known about it, we could have even taken the shuttle to the hotel when we arrived from Shenzhen by ferry with out spending a lot of time in a taxi with a confused driver.Generally though English is spoken much more than in mainland China, taxi drivers don't necessarily speak it so it is good to have your destination written down in Chinese characters and then in phonetice (pinyin) for you.

There is an outdoor pool on the top floor that I liked a lot--also the view is close to panoramic and without the greyish tinted glass of the hotel windows.

I had searched any 5 star hotels around the harbour, and we decided to pick this hotel. After the stay, I would thought that this was the best, compared with other international hotel chains.
The location was not exactly in the centre of Victoria Harbour and Tsim Sha Tsui (TST), but there was a half-hourly shuttle bus provided by the hotel that will take you conveniently from/to hotel/TST.
The room we took was harbourview club room, spacious and had magnificent view to the Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong City from its large windows. Really worth the money and recommended.
One thing that impressed us most was the open area at the top of the hotel. See it for your self through my photos.

Room Tip: definitely harbourview room

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights after a cruise. The receptionist was friendly and extremely helpful. Through our conversation with her we upgraded to club rooms. We had a beautiful room with everything we needed. Elemis products in the bathroom, what a treat. Breakfast was served in the clubs room on our floor, which meant you weren't walking round aimlessly in the large dining room. Between 6pm & 8pm we were able to avail of food and alcoholic drinks free. Definitely money well spent on an upgrade. The rooftop pool had fantastic views over the Kowloon and Hong Kong skyline. No shortage of towels and excellent changing facilities which were handy for late flights. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel to Nathan Road, which is great for shopping/sightseeing.

I recently stayed at this hotel whilst on business and was delighted with the choice. Whilst there are plenty of top hotels to choose from in Hong Kong, staying here (a little out of the main hub) allows for a very peaceful stay which is a must when on business. I was able to go for a walk along the harbour front every morning and evening which was a real bonus. There is an ample selection of excellent restaurants at the hotel itself and others nearby. The concierge and staff are also very friendly and helpful.
The roof top pool is a another feature, but the weather did not allow me to use this facility during my stay as it rained heavily for the 6 days)!
Will be visiting Hong Kong again soon and definitely will stay here again.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Room Tip: I stayed in a Deluxe Business room which was very clean well appointed with lovely views across the...

Location of this hotel was excellent but I was very disappointed because our room had a urine smell. Room was small but that's what we expected, very friendly staffs.Thank goodness our stay was for only 3 nights.

We stayed in April and stayed in room 1843. I would start by saying that we chose the club floor which was worthwhile. The only thing we did not like about the actual club itself was that it was located at the front side of the hotel and therefore there was no view. We would have preferred to have breakfast downstairs as there was a view, however I believe you have to pay.

Positives

1. The room was very big, in fact when looking at the fire escape plan on the back of the front door our room appeared to be one of the largest. Going down the corridor to our room there was a sign saying Chairmans Suite. The bathroom was large and there was also a separate walk in wardrobe.
2. View, whilst we did not have a direct view of causeway bay and all the neon lights, the view was still very good. We could watch the cruise boats and all the harbour activity from the room. Our view was looking directly out to the harbour entrance and also Kowloon bay. If you want the night view of causeway bay you will have to settle for a smaller harbour view room.
3. Pool and gym, we used the gym each morning and it was never really that busy. There was good cardio equipment as well as good selection of weights. In the locker rooms there was a steam room and sauna. The pool area was good and had a good view. When we were there the weather was not that conducive for swimming but we did use the pool a couple of times. If the weather would be god you could see this area getting really busy.
4. Location, whilst there is a lot of people saying the location is too far away from the action, we actually liked it. It is in Whampo Gardens which has a number of shops and restaurants around. If you don’t want to eat at the hotel there are plenty of choices near by, including western and eastern foods. There is a large parknshop nearby to get any supplies and alcohol you may want.
5. Shuttle bus, the shuttle bus is a blessing and much needed. The bus leaves every half hour and we never had any troubles getting on. Only once was the bus full. It takes 15 minutes to get to the Nathan road drop off, which is at the Peninsula Hotel. If you miss the return bus ,getting a taxi was not that expensive any way. As a guide, the taxi was about $50 HKD from the ladies market.
6. Staff, they were great. The staff at the club always had a smile on their face, remembered your name and helped with anything asked.

Negatives

We did not really have any negatives. When we first got into our room, the bathroom had a bad smell, which was coming from the floor drain. I ended up pouring a couple of jugs of boiling water down there which did fix it up. The only other thing was the choices of afternoon tea at the club lounge, which was pretty limited compare to other hotels we have stayed at. In fact we only went there once.

Overall we were very happy with our choice. Yes the location is a little far away from Nathan road but transport was not really an issue. We would recommend the hotel and also the use of the hotel limousine airport pick up.

This is a great place - whether for business or pleasure. It is superb value for money, the service and food is very good indeed and the rooms and general facilities are outstanding. The location right on Kowloon Harbour is spectacular. Can recommend without reservation.
