Harbour Grand Kowloon
Ranked #57 of 723 Hotels in Hong Kong

Just returned from 5 days in Hong Kong. Stayed at the Harbour Grand Kowloon. Staff great and couldn't do enough for you. Room - harbour view - great views. It is rare to see such large rooms. Could easily fit a family of 4. Loved the decor. Breakfast also amazing. Shopping area near by also good. Had dinner in one of the local restaurants. Not expensive and good food.

Room Tip: Suggest you definitely have a harbour view room.

This hotel is situated right on the water with immaculate views. I visited in March and unfortunately the pool left much to be desired and the hit tub was frigid. The view however on the pool deck is stunning. The fitness facilities were superb and helped burn off much dim sum. The concierge were very very helpful. The room was decent but nothing noteworthy. Overall nice place to stay, given the added perks.

This hotel is right on the waterfront in Kowloon and affords magnificent views of the harbour if you are lucky enough to have a harbour view. It is an extremely large and impressive hotel, with the service almost too good. The room we had was excellent, with all the usual facilities. It did not have an iron or ironing board which I had come to expect on my travels, but a phone call produced these at no charge. There was wifi provided at a cost which seems to be the norm in most hotels we've stayed in during our travels round the antipodes and Southern Asia. Generally most have 15 to 30 minutes free in the lobby, but sadly this hotel didn't. Nevertheless it was a very enjoyable stay. Breakfast was excellent and the staff attentive to the point where drinking a cup of coffee proved difficult because it was topped up as soon as you took a sip!

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour view. Probably more expensive but worth it

This hotel was a great location on the harbour. I would suggest upgrading to a harbour view room, which we didn't do but some in our group did. There is a free shuttle bus heading down town every 20 minutes or so which you can also catch back. There was a bar and restaurant across the car park which was great. (they had great live music) You can even eat outside & they will give you a blanket for your lap & gas heater. There is a café in the hotel where you can get a coffee with a cake or a sandwich. Starbucks a short walk and great shoe shops just down the block. The beds were a little hard which in asia they seem to favour. Breakfast a large selection.

Room Tip: I would suggest a harbour view room

My wife and I stayed at the Harbour grand Kowloon for Three nights in early Feb 2014, on a stopover en route to Australia.
On arrival the Hotel is bright and light and has a sense of space, with an immediate spectacular view of Hong Kong Harbour, we booked a harbour view room ( well worth the extra cost) for a great view over the bay. Our room was spacious and bright with tea and coffee facility and an in room safe. We ate in the brasserie and the food was good and far more reasonable than the main hotel restaurants, all the staff we dealt with we're both very informative and extremely happy and friendly, a special mention for Queenie the guest relations manager she is a star!! Nothing was too much trouble and she definitely went the extra mile for her customers.
If we ever go to Kowloon again, we will certainly stay at the Harbour Grand.
One disappointing fact, there is no free WiFi at the hotel which is common to all hotels in the Kowloon/Hong Kong area, but there are plenty of coffee sops and restaurants that supply Wi FI.

Room Tip: As high as possible and pay the extra for the harbour view.

along with my wife , i was on a holiday trip to hong kong and Macau.
in hongkong, we stayed in kowloon harbour..... great experience.
we have been offered a room on the west end corner.....breath taking view on all the 3 sides ...of the sea... very much fascinating....
good ambience
good rooms
well maintained ...
good cot and matresses
calm surroundings...
good buffet breakfast....
but for the vegetarians., we found difficult to eat for lunch and supper

we went to the top floor....unforgettable experience....

on the third day we returned by 4 pm to findout that the room was being repaired for pipe leak.. we waited for an hour...it was not finished.... the manager upgraded our room to a suite........such was the hospitality......

Room Tip: ask for the rooms on the sea side

My last stay was in 2009; property has certainly aged but still quite well maintained. Service is still good; your luggage is zipped away by conceirge was soon as you arrive, check-in is fast and efficient and baggage arrives at your room a minute later. Though you need a shuttle to town, it's quieter and more peaceful than staying in the heart of things; with a spectacular harbour view. We used the meeting rooms and the wifi is really problematic; needs sorting right away.

Room Tip: Definitely choose harbour view to court view
