Transferred here from inferior hotel, so rather nervous for HK standard - no fear, it was excellent. Good sized room, comfortable and adequate beds and everything as required. Pool on roof top impressive, although quite busy during our stay. Breakfast great - wide selection. The promenade walk outside excellent, busy with locals and tourists. Hotel mini-bus into Kowloon very welcome as not really walking distance from hub. Usual rip-off regarding wi-fi, but good coffee shop down the road where 20 minutes is free. Would recommend to others

A very nice hotel, well suited to those (particularly families) that don't terribly like the hustle and bustle of the main city district. Check in and service overall was excellent. Queenie at Reception was really very helpful and kind. The staff were delightful overall - they really could not do enough to assist. The shuttle bus operating every half hour to the city was very convenient and efficient. My 9 y/o daughter loved the rooftop pool. There are a range of shopping opportunities around the hotel, catering for a broad range of international tastes which are very reasonably priced as the hotel food is a little pricey. The work arounds on the priciness for families is a bottle shop within easy walking distance on the next block and a supermarket ... Very convenient! I can't say enough good things about this hotel, however, the only reason I am not giving it 5/5 is the price gouging in the ridiculously excessive wifi charges (if you want free Internet go to the Pacific Coffee Company on Tak Fung Street) and all the incidental charges and costs eg not even an iron/iron board in the room with the view of applying 'pressing' charges ... I mean seriously, for a five star hotel?!

A great experience overall and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose the Harbour View rooms - the views are spectacular and well worth the price tag.

The staff are friendly and are helpful. However, they don't really offer help, you have to know what you want and they will only give information as required. We never did find out about the free wi fi. It was not in the room.
Our Harbour View room was fantastic. Large room with King bed with an fantastic bathroom with bath.
The Hotel has a great courtesy bus that stops right next to the Peninsula and picks up from there about every half hour. The MTR does not get anywhere near the Hotel, so don't try. We went to the last stop (Hung Hom) thinking it was walking distance to the Hotel, but there are so many roads and overpasses, it is not easy to get to the Hotel. The courtesy bus stops at the MTR (Hung Hom) about every 2nd trip into the Centre. So you can catch a train to the New Territories from there. But I am pretty sure they don't pick up from the MTR, so on the way back you have to get off at an MTR stop close to the Centre so you can get the courtesy bus from the Peninsular.
It is a lovely, easy walk all the way from the Hotel to the the main shopping area of Kowloon, near the Star Ferry Terminal Buildings, allow about 3/4 to an hour. But there is some great shopping just behind the Hotel. There are very few tourists and you can mix with the locals and get great bargains with food and clothes.
The Hotel has some amazing Buffets, but they are quite expensive, especially if you are not a big eater. There is also eating on the waterfront in cafes associated with the Hotel, so you can book food bill to your room. Not too expensive and one of these has entertainment.
The rooftop pool is amazing. But was shut for 3 out of the 4 days we were there because of storm warnings.

Room Tip: You must have a Harbour View room otherwise it is a waste.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for such a fantastic review. It might be a bit late now but there is free internet access in the Club Lounge for guests staying on the Harbour Club floors. Also, I appreciate your helpful comment - and as such, we shall ensure that our handy-size bus schedule at concierge is made more visible for guests to take away from now on. Great to hear you sampled more than one of our restaurants - from what you wrote I assume you’re referring to the Waterfront Bar & Terrace. If so, I hope you both enjoyed our live band and that they were able to play to your song requests! Last but not least, we hope to have the opportunity to serve you both again in the future.

We stayed for 6 nights on club level which is 19.
If you are staying on this level you also check in and out on this level.
The staff on this level organise all you need from dinner reservations ideas on what to see and do massage and much more.
Club level also serves breakfast ,afternoon tea, per dinner drinks nod nibbles.
Thank you to Icy,Millie , polly and the rest of the exceptional team and wait staff on this level nothing is to much trouble.
It is located on the promenade you walk all the way into town approximately 20 minutes. We love the exercise it is quite a cultural walk watching the locals fishing.
The hotel runs a shuttle bus if you prefer to get around that way.
We utilised the train quite a lot it is a 10 minute walk in the other direction. We also used the ferry to cross the bay.
We got the hang of getting around under our steam quickly much to our own surprise.
The pool and spa are located outside on the top floor.
We will stay at the harbour grand again in January we loved it !

Room Tip: Club level Top floor 32 to 37 great views of harbour

Its a really nice hotel, sea front, very nice lobby with great view of harbor and skyscrapers.
Rooms are sufficient size, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also sufficient, wide range but like most hotels, option for vegetarians were limited.
Everything is fine except that this area don't have underground train connection, due to which, taxi is the only option to go anywhere. But the famous shopping are like Nathan Road etc. not very far but still need taxi to go there and at the peak rush hour time, it takes lot of time even for short distance.

Room Tip: take sea facing rooms

Dear Guest,

Glad to hear that you are pleased with our hotel and thank you for your much valued feedback. I have passed on your comment to our F&B department to consider. Our hotel operates a free shuttle bus every half an hour which will drop you off near Nathan Road and journey time is around 10 minutes. The underground train connection in the area is currently being built and is expected to be finished in 2015. Once completed, the station will be a couple of minutes walk away. If you’re in Hong Kong again, we look forward to welcoming you back.

This is a beautiful hotel, the staff at the front desk were very good, spoke English well. The room was a good size, as was the bathroom. Great view of the harbor from the lobby, although my room faced an office building. I was staying here while attending a trade show in the convention center. It is not very convenient for that purpose, as the traffic at 9:30 am took us 50 minutes to get to the convention center. Many of the people we met for dinner stayed on the Hong Kong side.
There is a pool on the rooftop with tables to sit at and enjoy the harbor view also.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your much valued comments and we are flattered by the compliments. During major HKCEC expos, the hotel has special transportation arrangements for exhibitors and trade visitors such as free ferry tickets and courtesy shuttle bus to the ferry terminal (needs to be arranged at Concierge). Throughout the years, our special transportation services have been popular among expo visitors with total journey time around 30-45 minutes.

This hotel was fine, but it's older and not as impressive as the Harbour Grand HK. it was considerably cheaper though. It isn't close to the subway so taxis are necessary. We took a club room but the harbour view was not of the HK lights that I imagined when booking - the view was in the opposite direction - no lights at all. The Club lounge was OK but had no view of anything. The HK version has the most spectacular view of the whole HK and Kowloon harbour. Service was good.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review. Both Harbour Grand Kowloon and our sister hotel are positioned to receive panoramic views of the Victoria Harbour – and as mentioned from 2 different directions. Some prefer the Hong Kong Island city skyline while others prefer the Kowloon city skyline and we’re glad that our Group is able to capture both sides. On behalf of our sister hotel, we look forward to serving you again in the future.
