We had three nights at the Harbour Grand and would struggle to find anything but positive comments to offer.

We had booked a room on the Club floor. Definitely worth it if you can stretch the budget. Amazing views over the harbour, private check in, afternoon tea, evening pre dinner drinks and free wi fi in the lounge area.

The room was spacious, comfortable, immaculate and extremely quiet.

The staff at the hotel were friendly, efficient and really helpful. They had a huge amount of information and were genuinly interested in your day.

Breakfasts were served in the club lounge and were excellent.

On a couple of occasions we ate at the Waterfront bar, casual dining with an outside eating area and an amazing view. There was a delightful walk along the promenade which was a wonderful place to watch the sun go down.

The shuttle bus service was good and we never had any difficulty in getting on, plenty of space.

We would most definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: If possible book a club room with a harbour view.

I've stayed at this hotel twice for business purposes but it is perfect for a holiday too. In comparison to other hotels I've stayed in Hong Kong it is very spacious. modern and clean. The rooftop pool has a fab view although my only bugbear would be that it is full of kids and more often than not all the sunbeds have been taken up by children and parents who are in the pool rather than using the sunbeds. I wouldn't let this put you off though as there is a quieter area close to the pool where there are tables and chairs and a great view.

Location - Based in Hung hom which is about 10 mins by taxi from TST but there is a free shuttle bus every 20 mins from the hotel and back again. Around the hotel there are quite a few shops and restaurants if you don't feel like going into TST. As a solo female traveller I loved the location as there is a great view of Victoria harbour from the hotel where you can take a walk along the waterfront and it is very safe even very late at night.

Food - I ate at the waterfront restaurant. Good value for money and great view of the harbour. Good breakfast selection.

Business services - fast internet (although there is a charge per day as with most hotels) but no issues.

I would highly recommend this hotel!

This was our first visit to Hong Kong (Feb 2012) so we booked the hotel on a mix of recommendations (including Trip Advisor) and were not disappointed.

The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice on the buffet of western food as well as local dishes (with some items cooked to order) Staff in general were very helpful and the concierge and receptionists had many recommendations for shopping, sightseeing and restaurants (I lost count of how many maps they gave us to highlight where we had to go). We also ate one evening in the very reasonably priced Waterfront Bar (where we were entertained by two really good singers whilst eating) and we found the Corner Cafe to be great for a specialist coffee and a cake after returning from a day sightseeing and before going up to get changed for the evening.

We had booked a Superior Harbour View room and the view across to Hong Kong island was indeed superior! Although the harbour was very busy 24 hours a day we were not disturbed by noise and in fact spent quite some time just watching everything from sampans and dredgers to large ferries and cruise liners (Black Watch) passing by.

The hotel’s courtesy bus service was very convenient, taking you directly into Tsim Sha Tsui (just by the Peninsula Hotel) and running from 7:30 in the morning to 11 at night.

Our only disappointment was that the pool was being repaired whilst we were there and the rooftop was inaccessible so we didn’t get to see the view up there that appears on all the publicity shots for the Hotel.

Overall we had a wonderful stay in Hong Kong and it was made all the better by having such a comfortable well appointed room to return to each evening.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room with a Harbour View

We have recently returned from a 6 night stay at the Harbour Grand Kowloon. We have stayed here a few times previously but this time got a good deal online and decided to stay in their Club Level Rooms. We were so pleased we did. The Club Lounge serves breakfast, both hot and cold, as well as afternoon tea which consisted of cake, sammies, and hot dishes such as curry puffs, spring rolls and then between 6 - 8 they provided free beer, wine and spirits plus similar food to that of the afternoon tea. All day tea, coffee, soft drink and biscuits were served. It saved us a lot of money in the end. Our room was the same as we had stayed in previously so nothing special by staying in the Club Level rooms as far as the room went. Still very nice spacious rooms, good sized bathroom. Probably in need of an upgrade shortly as the wallpaper was peeling in parts and the bathroom had cracks in it, but still a comfortable stay.

The location for us is excellent. It is away from the craziness of Nathan Road but still near some great shops and food places like Pizza Hut, Outback Steakhouse and a fantastic Thai place. The hotel is situated on the waterfront and it is wonderful to walk along the Promenade each night and look at the amazing skyline Hong Kong has to offer. It is so relaxing.

We also absolutely love the Waterfront Bar & Restaurant. The food is good and reasonable priced, they have happy hour drinks and made the most amazing cocktail I have ever had - A magic passion - Yummy. The weather was stunning while we were there so we spent each night having an evening drink sitting outside overlooking the Harbour and watching the boats go by.

The rooftop pool is quite something. Not a lot of shade or seats up there, but if you can get a seat then it is very relaxing. The drink and food service around the pool is somewhat slow, but it is tasty. My only complaint, which I have mentioned to them before, is the whirlpool is not hot, in fact the pool is warmer. A great view is to be had up at the pool.

Hong Kong is a great city, full of lovely friendly people and the Harbour Grand just makes our stay. We would absolutely recommend this place and do stay at the Club Level if they have a special on, its worth the extra cost.

Room Tip: Stay in a Harbour View room to really appreciate the beauty of the Hong Kong harbour

Me and my husband returned today 3rd time at this hotel for us and we wouldn't change a thing.
The room always very clean and comfortable .
For me unfortunately we had an 8 night holiday I was sick for 4of them and the staff couldn't have done more as all I saw was the hotel for 4days the staff member that needs a mention is I saac at front desk he sorted a doctor and helped with everything for us which is a frightening situation to be in. When in another country.the doctor was great and I managed to get 4days of a little fun in up at the rooftop pool.
This hotel must be good to there staff so that says something as I met many that was there 7 yrs ago .the taxi service great and cheap the hotel shuttle bus every half hour or you could now walk all the way to ferry terminal on a beautiful scenic walk many restaurants around we did promenade and the cafe for cake and outside for a cocktail .you cannot go wrong with this hotel and it's very family friendly breakfast has a great choice of food western ,Japanese, and much more.

Room Tip: Any room is fantastic just depending on yourselves if you want a harbour view or courtyard. Rooms a...

We stayed in the luxurious 5 star Harbour Grand, for 2 nights as a stop over from New Zealand. We stayed in a superior harbour view room for a family of four and were on the 13th floor and the view from the window was amazing. The staff are very helpful and the lobby is spectacular, with views around the Whampoa garden district and the Kowloon waterfront. The children loved the fantastic rooftop pool, which was needed to get cool after a hot and sticky day of seeing the sights. The hotel provide a complementary shuttle bus that runs every half an hour, and will drop you off at one of 3 stops (the MTR Hunghom Station, the shops of Tsimshatsui, and adjacent to the ferry piers, that link to Hong Kong Island). Whampoa has some interesting shops and restaurants just a short 5 min stroll from the hotel, (especially the 110 metre long boat shaped shopping centre!). We were even surprised in our room with complementary wine and cake for my husband’s birthday! I would certainly recommend this fabulous hotel.

The old adage, you get what you pay for often applies.
We stayed in 2 adjoining rooms on the 7th floor. They were Harbour View and although not spectacular, they were of a good standard, although I would say not very recently fitted out.
The rooftop pool is definitely a plus. Too little room around it, but in other respects it has an excellent view and is a good size pool.
The main issue is that this hotel is in an awkward location.
Whilst there is quite a lot of transportation that serves it, none of it has the frequency that you'd like. We learned to just be flexible, get the timetables and use the first one that came along or a just take a taxi if we had to wait more than 10 minutes. It worked fine, but wasn't ideal.
All in all this hotel did represent very good value for money, and in the case of the Harbour Grand Kowloon, we got what we paid for, and relative to the competition, this was the best relative value, if you are happy to do the transport thing.

Room Tip: There is quite a lot of transport but the Hung Hom to WanChai ferry runs only every 30 minutes and t...
