“Very good location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2012

The hotel is located on a street full of bars and restaurants. The room was decent size compared to other HK hotel I've stayed before. It is an old hotel but maintained well. I got a very good deal when I booked it. I think I paid around AUD100/night for the deluxe room. From this hotel you can get to anywhere in TST by walking. MTR is not far too. There is a very popular dessert cafe nearby. The room was neat and bathroom was clean. I will go back for the same rate but not any higher.

Over all the hotel is good. It locates in very great location. Close to strait where avenue of the star is, close to MTR station, close to ferry terminal, close to Nathan road, and close to Kowloon park. The staffs were also helpful. The room is small, but this is Hong Kong, so it was acceptable. If only the electronic equipment especially the TV set had been new and Wifi could had been free, the experience would had been flawless. Because this hotel still has old CRT TV and the Wifi connection is too expensive.
If you want to go to china ferry terminal, take a nice walk through the Kowloon park, cross the sky bridge directly to ferry terminal building. It would only take you about 10-15 minutes and you won't regret it.

good location..centre of tsim sha tsui...decent service..goods for busienss travellers but too compact for family travellers...rooms are neat & clean but too small..no place to even keep your luggage..wardrobe is like a small closed wih 3 hangers..pls prefer higher floors since on weekends its too noisy because of pub & surrondings. Has Macdonald bang opposite & various other options for food.

Room Tip: pls prefer rooms on higher floors

Good location, and the lobby was pretty nice. However, problem was that my toilet was leaking at the ceiling with rusty water, and so I got a bit freaked out when I saw brownish droplets on my towel, toilet floor, etc. Perhaps they could renovate it or something.

Wished that there was free wifi however. TV channels from cable are pretty good.

This is a clean remodeled hotel a little above average honestly, but great value for the price. Located in a busy street with plenty of food, drink & otherwise options, but still feels very safe and is relatively quiet at night. Rooms look very clean and well kept, as well as the staff being very helpful. My only suggestion is to give walking directions from the MTR station since I was a little lost for a while (At least suggest the closest exit!). There is a surcharge for the internet use like most places in HK, but they should at least offer a courtesy computer for guests to check emails, they do have a business center but also has a usage charge. Don't think I would return other than for the price.

Fantastic location and 3 min walk to TST Station. Room was clean, basic, good air con, carpet etc little worn but for 3 nights adequate as I wasn't planning on spending too much time in my room. Staff were very helpful, no complaints. Despite being worn I would not be put off staying here again if on hol or short break (rooms are not really for the business traveller, internet is charged). Rooms a little on the small size, no pool as advertised (be aware) but location is fab and very central. McDonalds across the road (good cheap breakfast). Would stay here because... Plenty of good restruarants, seven 11, street food and bars etc within seconds as you step out of the hotel. Suggest a visit to Knutsford Terrace around 7:30pm, which is less than 5 min stroll away (out of hotel, right and keep going up hill to Kimberly Rd and straight up the steep service road next to the steps(which is alternative route). Knutsford T is a great little spot with really good restarants (Indian, Thai, Chineese etc) and nightlife - do not miss Knutsford T.

Watch out for Taxi drivers hiking up the price to travel to honk kong island or returning, tunnel fee normally only $15-20. Some taxis like to try and overcharge -One manually added charges to the final journey fare on the meter at the end of our journey. Refuse to pay if you dont agree, ask hotel staff. The metro is easy to use, cheap.

Top tip - if your visiting The Peak, take the no 15 bus outside the Star ferry terminal 4 or 5 at Central Station (Hong Kong Island). Its cheaper, less crowded and far more scenic than Peak Tram (which is normaly crowded. Also, exchange rate inside markets better by 10% (no commission) than airport or on road kiosks.

Room Tip: Room at rear away from main road.

Hotel is fairly modern, room a good size for solo male guest. Smoking room was a plus. only problem was the bed. It was rock solid, every time I went to lay on it it felt like I was on a slab of concrete.

Staff were a pleasure, very helpful in organising my ferry ride to Macau.

Would stay here again.
