Recommended staying on a club room floor level 32 or above, great room & access to Club Lounge & Restaurant for buffet breakfast. The view was great, the staff were very helpful & centrally located in Causeway Bay only 5 minutes by taxi to Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre & short walk to Time Square & Hysen Place shopping district.
Club Room privileges, like evening drinks & food, quick checkin & check out in Club Room reception on 31st floor avoiding busy ground floor checkin desk.

Room Tip: Recommended spending the extra money & staying on a club room floor level 32 or above, great roo...

I'll start by saying I cannot understand the negative reviews that are based on too many mirrors in the room - they make the rooms feel bigger! We had a suite for our family of four, the youngest being our daughter aged 18 months. The room surpassed our expectations, not too expensive given its location, free wifi and soft drinks in the mini bar, cot waiting for us in the room as pre arranged, lovely décor, spa bath, corner location gave fantastic views, excellent staff in every area of the hotel and smashing location for the shopping district/cafes and restaurants that Causeway Bay offers. Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: Corner suite had great views.

We stayed in a club room on the 33rd floor. The room was nice but the location of the towel rack was strange because it was located at the back wall over a wide tub. I could barely reach it without falling in. The club lounge had decent offerings..I enjoyed the wine and delicious evening snacks. However, the pastries, especially the doughnuts were awful. So hard and tasteless. Furthermore, it really didn't have a club feel, more like a dining hall with just simple chairs and tables, no sofas or anything to relax on. The most disappointing was the breakfast which really doesn't cater to international travelers. It had bacon and sausages but everything else seemed to be for local tastes. Like veggie salad and noodles for breakfast. It could have been improved if they offered eggs cooked to your style, like fried or scrambled because all they offered when I was there was hard-boiled eggs. The service staff was very good, especially the room boys, the concierge and the ladies at the club reception.

Dear Madam,

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the services of our Executive Club Team.

Whilst we have shared your positive comments with concerned colleague and our team, we strive to continuously improve our services and facilities.

We regret to learn about your dissatisfactory on the services provided at the breakfast on the club floor and the set up at the lounge. Also, we have taken note of your comment on the quality of the facilities in our guestroom, especially the towel rack in the bathroom, and we are putting in your comment to our senior management for attention as we are upgrading our rooms gradually every year.

We thank you for staying at the Regal Hongkong Hotel and look forward to welcoming you back on your next trip to Hong Kong.

Very good service, nice and clean, but boy are the rooms small! Gym was nice enough, and pool is OK (great views from open roof) but only just long enough for laps. Gym is tucked away in the basement and a bit tricky to get to.

This hotel is in a great location in Causeway Bay - just a few metres from bustling Hennessey Road (with its shopping, choice of all kinds of of restaurants, access to the ding-ding trams, local markets, easy stroll to Wan Chai etc). The MTR station is not too far away

We chose a Club Room suite looking for those few extras nearing the end of a fairly long travel schedule. It was, overall, worth it. Our suite was large with a sitting area, separate bedroom and bathroom. There was a partial harbour view, and some reasonable views of the local area (together with a view of the rusty top of an adjacent apartment block A complimentary bottle of wine, fruit and mini bar came with the deal along with Club access (breakfast, afternoon teas, and hors dóeuvres and limited food and drinks between 5.00 and 8.00 in the evening.)

Breakfast in the Club was adequate without being great, with a modest selection of cold and hot European and Asian foods. The evening offerings were quite basic with usually a couple of hot yum cha offerings and some limited cold foods. There was a choice only between one still white and one red wine , beers and soft drinks. At a few minutes before 8.00pm - all disappeared. (Compared to the very generous Club scene at the Langham Place, Mongkok, where we usually stay- the fare in the Club was quite basic). Seating was not really "club" consisting of basic dining chairs and tables.

Service from most of the staff was helpful and charming (with a couple of exceptions).

As some other TA reviewers had noted the Hotel needs to have a hard look at maintenance items - in the case of our room (2710) there were scuff marks on some furnishings, curtains that were very difficult to draw, a loose maintenance panel in the side of the bath, paint missing on the frame of a large feature artwork, air conditioning vents that were not square etc.

That aside, having made our decision this time to spend time at this end of Hong Kong island instead of on the Kowloon side, the Regal hotel was a good base.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback regarding the location of our hotel & the services provided by our club floor team. I would like to extend my personal thanks to you for taking the time to comment on our services during your recent stay with us.

Whilst we have shared your positive comments with concerned colleague and our team, we strive to continuously improve our services and facilities.

On the other hand, we regret to learn about your disappointment during the buffet breakfast and the shortcomings on the maintenance of our guestroom.

All these points have been taken up the departments concerned in order to improve the standards we are offering. We have moved the breakfast service to Zeffirino Restaurant in order to upgrade the quality of the breakfast experience. And we have already worked on the maintenance issues once your message was received. Meanwhile, implemented corrective actions and intensive trainings have been in place to ensure a consistent delivery of our service standards and better environment for our guests.

I hope one day we may have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Regal Hongkong Hotel.

Sincerely,

Stephen Chow

The Regal is a comfortable, affordable hotel in a good location. This was our first trip to Hong Kong and we stayed for 2 nights in September. The breakfast buffet was very good with a good variety of food.
