“New Found Home In Hongkong!”

Actually this is our second time around in Prince, our first stay there was when it looks isolated since not the whole of Harbour City was operational then. We find it too far! Now that the whole complex is operational, we find the hotel very accessible ! Its within the reach of my favorite boutiques! The rooms are big enough! clean! fresh fruits daily, newspaper,etc...and the staffs are friendly and accommodating ! Toiletries always replenished.

As usual service up to the usual Marco Polo group standards. Excellent room surpassed only by the exceptionally helpful staff. The Prince is connected through the superb harbour plaza shopping centre to the Star ferry terminal to central hong kong. The only downside is the price of the restaurants in the Prince, when two steps across the busy road you will eat and drink at one third of the price. One tea and one coffee cost HKD105, and took ages to arrive in the quiet bar.

The hotel itself is rather old but has been recently renovated. Room size is pretty decent taking into account that its in Hong Kong. The hotel is located in harbour city mall complex and its connected directly to the mall, so thats a plus. MTR station is nearby (maybe 10 min walk) but not a good idea if you have small kids like me. Service was great. I was looking for a bespoke tailor and spoke to the concierge (Kenny) over the phone and he promised me that he will give me the phone number when i meet him downstairs. I came down 10 min later and everything was written down in a piece of paper with the name card of the tailor stapled along with the direction. One time i could not find any taxi to get back to the hotel and Kenny offered me to send a bell boy with a taxi to pick us up.

One of the bathrooms in our rooms was clogged. They immediately sent a maintenance guy to fix it around midnight. It was still clogged again in the morning and when i came back to the hotel in the afternoon, they left a note that the shower drain has been fixed.

Room service was quite prompt, food was okay.

I was only at this hotel for 24 hours, however, it was the perfect location for business and sightseeing. I would highly recommend this hotel, the rooms were of good size and the breakfast was great. The airport shuttle bus stops rights outside making this the ideal choice.

We were looking for a hotel which could accommodate a group of 2 parents, 2 grandparents & 3 young children. After searching the internet for hotel rooms in Hong Kong which had 2 x double beds per room (there are not that many) we came up with the Prince Marco Polo. This hotel is situated right in the heart of Hong Kong, close to ferries, public transport and within a massive upmarket shopping complex. On arrival we were told that the hotel was "over-booked", however the staff went out of their way to make sure that they could not just fit us in, but upgraded us & included breakfasts as way of compensation. We agreed to all stay in one suite for the first night with fold up beds added, then the following nights were given separate 3 room suites with views over the harbour. The rooms are modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Little touches like a bowl of fruit everyday were greatly appreciated. Breakfast is great - lots of choices and beautifully prepared dishes await you. However, it is the staff that make this hotel absolutely outstanding. They truly care about their guests. We especially appreciated Kathy's warm greetings every time we returned to the foyer, and Dan's helpfulness when booking in. The only negative was the in-room WiFi which was a bit spasmodic - hardly any service on the 6th floor but quite good on the 9th.
Shopping Tip: Just outside the hotel exit on Level 3 is a fantastic supermarket. Here you can get fresh foods such as yoghurts, milk, salads, rolls, drinks etc. Also if looking for a cheaper place to eat close by, then try the food court which is also situated on level 3 across from the supermarket.

whenever i am on the kowloon side of hong kong. i like to stay at the marco polo hotels. the hotel is connected to the famous Harbour Plaza mall. You can find Vuitton, Prada, Hermes ...every major european brand names.... duty free shops 5 minutes walk.. the famous Hong Kong harbour 6 minutes walk ( you can take the ferry here to hong kong causebay bay or central for shopping. cinemas across the street . huge bookstore on the second floor
restaurants are everywhere too ( there's a food court on the second floor for cheaper chow)
you can take the MTR ( 1O MINUTE WALK) to night market Temple Street in Jordan or Ladies market in Mongkok.

The rooms are huge by hong kong standard so the price for me is reasonable at usd 200 to 250. rooms are clean and well maintain .Other hotels in the area might charge less but the rooms are small.

i was upgraded to a partial harbour view which is not bad. Only windows were a bit small so its a bit dark .

again the advantage here is its located inside the mall

Room Tip: ask for an upgrade to a harbour view or even a partial harbour view

This hotel is fantastic! I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to stay there. We stayed in Hong Kong for 3 days and travelled with a toddler (3 years old). The Premier Twin Room was spacious with with two double beds and a sitting area. Even the bathroom was large. The only drawback is that we had only a shower (which was a problem because our toddler prefers baths to showers and made for interesting bath times). That said, that was just a minor thing and not worth changing rooms for.

The hotel is situated within a mall along the Macau Pier so if shopping is on your agenda, there are many stores not too far away from the hotel. Beyond that, its location in the Kowloon area makes it within (an ambitious) walking distance to many of the tourist sites such as the Night Market, the Ladies Market and Jade market. If walking is not your thing, it is also conveniently located close to the subway, which makes it accessible to all of the said tourist sites. Furthermore, it is located within walking distance to the Star Ferry Pier which makes it easy to hop on a ferry to Hong Kong Island -- No need to walk outside on the street- the pier is accessible through the mall! (Important if heat and humidity bother you!)

Room service offers a wide variety of items, however, the night menu is a little limited but contains good staples as such burgers and fries for late night munchies (or jet lag munchies). Service, however, is excellent and prompt.

Being unfamiliar with restaurants in the area, we opted to have breakfast at the in-house restaurant for an extra charge, and found the large variety of dishes in the buffet spread to suit our individual tastes. Be sure to make reservations for breakfast when you arrive if you intend to eat at the hotel. Unless you are adventurous and want to try a typical Chinese breakfast at the local restaurants, this option offers a wide variety (including continental type breakfast items) that may suit your preferences.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up are quieter -- and ask for a room overlooking the harbor. The other rooms overlook t...
