“Great hotel in Kowloon Hong Kong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

Great hotel in Kowloon/ Hong Kong, real 5*****
we had an early arrival, and we were afraid to be obliged to wait half a day before the check in, but: the front desk was very kind to give us the room at 07-30 instead of 14-00! I was with my wife and daughter, so it was a very good start.
They have understood that the time difference and the almost 12 hours flight is a hard thing to overstand. And we were offered even an upgrade for a reasonable surcharge- as the result we had a great over 80 m2 suite with 2 separate rooms, an extra wardrobe room and a bathroom.
Spacious and very comfortable. We had even a pillow menu!!! But even the standard pillows were so good, and bed linen was so great, that we tried to find it for our home. Big flat TV everywhere, free WiFi, Ipod dock station , buero etc. so, our week in HK had a safe comfortable background. Normally, everybody complains about the room size - here that wasn't the question ( i have seen also some other rooms). The breakfast was rather expensive, we took it only 2 or 3 times, nothing special, rather good selection from everywhere, but the choice of local food could be better.
The hotel has the direct access to the huge luxury shopping mall, from other side to Canton Road. 2 min to the water taxi ( boats) to Hong Kong
So- expensive, but great. The hotel had some bars and very good restaurants as well. Recommended, definitely

Room Tip: Take the bigger room, if you can

JOHN P.
After 3 days of exceptional service in this top class Hotel we were confronted with a difficult problem when our taxi driver at the Airport hurriedly ( questionably) departed with one of our suitcases still in the boot of the taxi.Regrettably we did not have the licence plate number nor the drivers I.D. and we had all but resigned ourselves to the fact that we would never see these possessions again until the Airport Police contacted the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel and asked if they would urgently replay their CCTV camera in the hope that the taxi could be identified. Fortunately the Hotel staff quickly obliged and indeed they were able to provide the Police with a registration number. After a number of phone calls the Police made contact with the driver and instructed him to return with our luggage, fortunately just in time for us to board our plane
Without the help of the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel Staff and the Airport Police we were destined to become another tourist statistic.
Truly GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Room Tip: Harbour view is a must.

Visited Hong Kong recently with my husband and son and were absolutely delighted when we say the hotel. It is in absolutely the most perfect location close to the harbour. I can only reiterate many of the comments already posted. This is a beautiful hotel on a lovely street. I did a lot of research on hotels/locations etc in Hong Kong before our trip, and this hotel ticked all the right boxes. If you can can get a harbour view room all the better, but to be honest you really wont spend a lot of time in your room as there is so much to do and see. The maid turned down the bed covers down every night and placed small white sheets on the floor where you stepped on to the bed. This was a very nice gesture. Slippers were also provided on a daily basis. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful and breakfast had a large variety of dishes to suit everyone. If I am lucky enough to go to Hong Kong again, I will certainly be staying here!

Room Tip: Harbour View Room would be a bonus.

The hotel's location... next to shopping malls and close to the fantastic harbor view made us decide to stay in this hotel. Never did I expect to be wowed by excellent service, truly world class facilities, great food, and fantastic ambiance! Marco Polo exceeded my expectations ...and made our stay truly memorable.. Our home away from home.. Marco Polo Hong Kong !

Room Tip: Don't miss the buffet at Cafe Marco !

Having just completed a three week tour of China we decided to spend three days in Hong Kong before our flight home to Sydney. We chose the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel on Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui because of the hotel’s reputation and being close to shopping and restaurants around Nathan Road. We had booked a Superior Queen room in their Continental Club and upon arriving at the ground floor reception desk we were whisked away to the 17th floor to be personally checked-in to the hushed surroundings of the Continental Club. We were then shown the Lounge (just behind the reception area) where we were to be indulged by attentive staff in the complimentary breakfasts, afternoon teas and evening cocktails each day. Not to mention the complimentary snacks (fresh sandwiches and fruit, fruit juices, beers and coffee) available throughout the day. Although our room (only about 20 metres from the Lounge) did not have a view it was very comfortable, clean and spacious with a large bathroom having a separate bath and roomy shower. The room had all the amenities expected – including flat screen TV, in-room safe, desk with a large workspace and even a Nespresso coffee machine. The free WiFi was easily connected to the internet - response time was satisfactory. The hotel is close to all the upmarket brands stores, about 600 metres from Nathan Road and a very short walk to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the Star Ferry Pier. About 110 metres up Canton Road, at the corner of Peking Road you will find The Sun Arcade which provides the entrance to the underground MTR (metro) giving air-conditioned access to the Tsim Sha Tsui Station. If you want to be pampered in luxurious surroundings, then this hotel has it all.

Room Tip: The Continental Club experience not to be missed - worth every cent.

Fantastic location on the Harbor (next to star ferry terminal to Hong Kong Island and Jetfoil to Macau) connected to a mall and located in one of the most fashionable street in Kowloon.
Metro station MTR is 5 min walk away.
The room was better than in the photos!
It is a 5 star Hotel anywhere in the World!

I've been to a lot of hotels and this gem here is one of the best ones i've ever been stayed in. I got a room at the 17th floor; 1755, and Marco Polo delivers in every single aspect, and they delivered with an oomph.

First of all the value is great, the food is great, the staff are extremely friendly, the food is great. Of course the food isn't at all micheline worthy, but it again it delivers.

I judge hotels by the room; excellent beds and pillows, complete control over the airconditioning (plus the housekeeping doesnt turn them off). The staff listen to you; i asked them to not throw away my towel, you know how hotels post cards saying they'll change the towels only if you put them on the floor or on the tub? well they never do that, they change it anyway, so i requested they not touch my towel unless they were on the tub or the flor and they obliged.

I judge hotels by the breakfast provided for; THE BACON WAS EXCELLENT 'Nuff said. plus the amount of food available was shocking.

I judge hotels with the convenience and the view; a boat ride away from central, a train ride away from everywhere. And the view? it was just the hong kong skyline. 'twas ok. No, it was EXCELLENT!

did i mention you could go to the lounge (if you have access, i did since i was on the 17th floor) and drink yourself silly?

What more can I say? I do hate some of their hotels in other places but Marco Polo HK is another breed. Book here!

Room Tip: try to get the room with views.
