“Expensive but worth it”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

We stayed at the JW for 6 days. It is expensive but worth the extra money. The hotel is attached to a mall and the mall is connected to the Metro and bus stations. Also, there are walkways connecting buildings so you can walk for miles without getting on the street.

We got an Octopus card that can be used in the Metro and the buses. It is very convenient as the buses do not give change. We used the MTR and buses to get around. Plenty of taxis but they are fairly expensive. Tried the in city check-in and the airport express on our way back and it was great and much cheaper than using a taxi.

The hotel was very busy with a lot of activity in the lobby area. The place was packed when we got there and check-in was a bit chaotic. The lounge is small and is split level. When you sit upstairs you have to come down to get your food and drinks - which is a pain. The rooms were smallish but with huge windows - we had a room facing the mountains.

Overall very posh hotel and will definitely stay there again.

I stayed here with my girlfriend, when i was off for a trip to china! We both liked this place a lot.. there was a beauty in every part of this hotel..best service i have seen from the Marriot group of hotels! Beautiful cafe they have, my girlfriend loved the food and aura! Cafe manager, steeve helped a lot in managing things for the party that I held for my girlfriends birthday! My heartiest thanks to him! FOOD = great, location = great.. but this place is too expensive, this can ripp you off! so try other options if you have, but if you dont care about money and need a ife experience, try this! you'd love it :)

Well situated, good hotel with really courteous staff. Particular note for me was a comfortable bed which I rate highly. Stayed in 8 different hotels in HK and this was the best for me. The only inconvenience I encountered was the wait for a taxi

We booked 4 rooms for a business trip and it was a very nice 5 star hotel. The service was as expected and so were the prices. We stayed a compatible hotel in China and that was half the price.
It's been there a while now and is probably due for a refurb however the club lounge is excellant with great food and drinks after 4.30 pm.

Room Tip: Get a high floor with a harbour view.

In comparaison with other JW Marriott hotels, this one is quite expensive and rooms are not as big. I am guessing this is normal for Hong Kong..

Other than that, good location and well furnished rooms. Usual services for members, like free breakfast as the executive lounge, free wifi... Nice lobby bar with band playing, good swimming pool and gym, shopping center next door, and nice service.

All nice, but not entirely sure I would stay again while in HK...

Great location and fantastic facility. Transportation is very accessible, which makes travel quite easy. We had the most amazing view from our room. The room was very spacious and the amenities were top notch. Robe, slippers, complimentary bottled water, free wifi, and wonderful customer service from everyone. The Executive Lounge was GREAT! Breakfast was wonderful and the hor d'oeurs in the evening were great as well. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

We were looking for à hotel in central and found out that the good hotels are all very expensive. But then, my brother in law, who works nearby the Marriott, asked for à business rate.. That appeared to be à very good idea... Instead of 3900 HKD we had to pay 2500 HKD for a room with peak view! If you don't want to pay too much for your breakfast just go around the corner to The Petit Cafe were you can get good coffee and Nice sandwiches for a relatively small price.
Apart from the price the Marriott is a good hotel, just what you'd expect. It has a lovely pool and jacuzzi, health club etc and the bed is very good! We found central is the perfect place to stay in a hotel wen visiting HK. Almost everything is within walking distance, otherwise you just take a VAB, ti's very cheap!

Room Tip: The higher up the better the view.
