“A little tired, but acceptable”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2012

Good location but this is not a lux hotel by any means.

Staff were polite and spoke good enough English, the wifi sort of worked (in lobby at least), but it felt a bit tired and shabby all round. The room was small and the view was fairly uninspired (which is not the hotel's fault).

Would I stay there again? Possibly, but I think HK has better to offer.

The location is quite strategic as it's in Causeway Bay but it's in the inner roads so you're not really facing the busy main road. About 5-10mins walking distance to the Causeway Bay MTR station and the new shopping mall - Hysan Place. Even Times Square is closeby if you don't mind the walk.

English speaking and friendly staff at the Front Office and very helpful concierge.

Rooms were a bit small if you compare with other standard hotels but I find it more than enough space. You should be out of the hotel most of your travelling period anyway. :) But when you do relax in the room, the downside is the only decent English channel was AXN.

Free and stable Wifi available in all areas even in the room which was a definite plus point!

For Muslim travellers, there is an Indonesian supermarket and small Halal eateries in the area.

Recently stayed at the Rosedale on the Park during a business trip in HK. The location is great and makes it easy to get to everything in Hong Kong with the Train and Tram stops nearby. The rooms are very small (but it is Hong Kong) and they could also do with an update. Most of the staff are not very friendly, but Ileen the Rewards Program Manager was fantastic and would actually be a reason to return. She took time to go over the program in detail and enroll me on the spot to ensure I got the added extras that members get. She was also very helpful with suggestions for things to do in Hong Kong and how to best get around. She really does stand out from the other staff and is a real asset to the hotel.

Boutique they said. New they said. Really close to the Causeway Bay shopping area they said.
I would go with 3 strikes on the initial comments I got on this premises.
Not only could the taxi driver not find the "Concealed" entrance - hidden down the type of alley you would not walk down alone - but the lobby and entrance can in no way or form be described as inviting.
The Receptionist were not all too friendly or helpful, showing little interest in us getting to the room and more in talking to each other.
Once in the room, I was back in reception within 2 minutes. I could not believe the size, or lack, of the room. The thought of swinging a cat could hardly have been conceived for this boutique hotel as you would not have been able to get a cat in the room with you.
Two persons and one suitcase over-filled the room. Despite all entreaties, there was no alternative (I even called my travel agent to get alternate accommodation but to no avail).
In the end Boutique was right if you consider a boutique being equivalent to a market stall or very small one-man store.
New, was something I did not see. Renovated maybe, but not attractive.
As for the shopping. My wife did not go out at all as it is on the other side of the street and a good distance to walk to spot a store.
All in all, very disappointing and not one I would consider again.

Room Tip: Avoid unless there is no alternative unless you like sleeping in a 3 x 3 meter room with no space to...

Nice clean rooms. Comfortable size in a suite, although I think the standard might be a bit small. The exercise facility is tiny (a converted room) with just a bike, treadmill and gym. Wifi worked fine and the staff were helpful.

A good value and a convenient location. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: When we stayed, we got a free upgrade to a suite and late check-out for joining the hotel's rewa...

Booked a suite for a 1 night stay, as there were 2 adults and 1 child, and was disappointed to be charged for the extra bed. Even more disappointed to find out that the rate charged by the agent for the extra bed was almost twice that quoted by the hotel. The room was old and tired and the living room smelled damp. The hotel appears to be aimed at the chinese market, judging by the breakfast selection on offer.
On the plus side the front desk staff were pleasant and the concierge staff were helpful.
It was quite a walk to the MTR station in Causeway Bay. I would choose a different hotel on my next visit.

Walking into this hotel with tiny alley-way road, it is certainly hidden among Hong Kong main traffic, to a tourist would have easily mistaken it as residential building without prior knowledge. The entry is small which looks rather like an apartment entrance but once you step inside all changes. The lobby looks stunning followed by two small escalators your greeted with marble interior from head to toe, and mass of flowers. It looks incredibly lavish.

However the lavish lobby could be not be match by the room which was small, also the bathroom is very small, with sliding door (which obviously helps reduce space) however this is Hong Kong so it is what I had expected, just like Japan, bigger rooms will come at a cost. The room does looks slightly dated however it is still in a reasonable knick. The double bed is rather squeaky old though but reasonable comfortable sleep.
Cost was reasonably priced with an average of $130 AUD / night. Bell boy and concierge team was very helpful and friendly. Location is great only a 5 minute walk to Causeway bay MRT station and besides the places around this hotel has great shopping (SOGO department store is very close)

The hotel although rooms looks tightly close together it was a very pleasant quiet stay surprisingly, considering Hong Kong is such a busy dense place.

Room Tip: 2 rooms can be linked together via a common door (usually locked) however if you have 2 or more gue...
