Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong
Ranked #110 of 726 Hotels in Hong Kong
Certificate of Excellence

We've always stayed at Langham Place at Mongkok when we visit Hong Kong.

This time, we decided to stay at holiday inn golden mile because of the large room. The kids have grown up and we needed more space.

First impression of the hotel when we stepped into the lobby was that, it is tired, dated and somewhat cold.

The rooms gave us the same feeling too. It can certainly do with a refresh. There was no view to speak of. Our windows faced a block of flats. It was so close we could almost look into the flat! We kept the curtains closed all the time.

Looks aside, the room is very spacious and functional. It had everything from an iron to ipod dock and even an international adapter. For the tv addicts, there is a very good selection of cable channels.

Wifi works wonderfully eveywhere in the hotel. The connection was stable and did not drop even when the session was inactive. Throughout our stay, we only had to login once.

Location- we love how convenient the hotel is. The mtr station is literally at the doorstep (use exit N5). Food and shopping aplenty. It's a short 5 mins walk to a very good and highly rated chinese restaurant - Spring deer - along Moby Road.

Breakfast spread was superb! There was something for everyone. The only let down is the breakfast service team. There is a lack of attention - some items were not replenished until the staff were told. No smiles and some even looked disgruntled and complained about their colleagues openly and loudly.

We also dined at Osteria which serves excellent Italian food. The pork chop was especially good! We overheard the diners at the next table complimenting the dish as well.

Overall, the experience was pleasant but nothing exceptional. I'll consider staying here again only because of the location and large room. If room size is not an issue, I'll definitely choose Langham Place over Holiday Inn Golden Mile.

i had stayed in this hotel during 5th to 9th of march. Ist day they upgraded my room to the 19th floor near the spa etc but there was too much noise of various water machines, pressure pump etc, i could not sleep in the night. next day morning i had to shift the room, which they gave me on 8th floor.
The rooms are really big, as such i was alone but definitely it was big enough for 3 or 4 people. there was no break fast included. i think it was required. There are few bars etc on ground and 1st floor. these are good. i used them way back not on this trip. The location of the hotel is also best part of it. I love my stay there. may be next time would like to stay.

Room Tip: avoid top floors, which is said to be executive floor.

This is my third stay at Holiday Inn Golden Mile. I usually stay in a Club Room but this time we upgraded to a Suite which also gave us Club Lounge. Although the hotel is not the most modern and doesn't have a view the location is fantastic, close to train, shops, ferry. Hotel rooms are well appointed, the Suite had a separate lounge/dining and also guest bathroom. Shower in main bathroom was excellent. Toiletries in the main bathroom were L'Occitane and they were well replenished daily. Club Lounge is great, full breakfast provided and evening drinks and snacks were plentiful. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. They treat you like family and always recognise you. I am a big fan of IHG hotels and stay in them whenever I can; their staff and hotels are always excellent.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a suite if you want extra room. All rooms are well sound proofed.

Good hotel as the name speaks for itself located exactly in the heart of the city few minuted drive from Kowloon airport express station from gate number K3 the first stop is holiday inn golden mile. you have many shopping malls and markets nearby from expensive to cheap product all close there is chungking mansion where one can find halal food as there are some indian and Pakistani restaurants in it and many shops for garments, shoes and bags. Needless to say hotel has excellent staff always to help you and they possess all quality that a perfect hotel should have plus location in which it is situated is added advantage As I am a priority club member they offered me complimentary drink voucher for me and my family when I checked out I paid by credit card I was given an option to pay in HKD or INR which was very amazing thing to see as you pay in foreign currency you pay in foreign currency the bank charges 3.5% plus service tax and Edu cess in India but ow when I have paid in INR I think that taxes will be saved thanks to the hotel. The rooms are bit small but cant help it as almost all hotels in hong kong are smaller due to lack of space but still rooms are that spacious that we can move around and not like many other hotels where you get stuck so overall if you look at the property and its service its marvelous I would stay here again when I go next time as I had good time and good stay.

Always the feeling I come home! The ladies of the executive club are super! They treat me as I am family. Faye, Cindy, Esther, Sandy and the other ladies thank you!
The room is always clean and the beds are super!
Happy hour has improved much, also nice that the length of time has become half hour longer.
The drinks and food you can choose has improved.
And finally, the place of the hotel is very good. Near to shops, subway and the ferry.
Yes, looking forward to come back soon :-)

This was the perfect venue for a four night stay prior to flying on to the Philippines. We were in Hong Kong in time for the Chinese New Year and tried to pack in as much sightseeing as humanly possible in that short time. Needless to say by the time we got to the Philippines we needed a well earned rest. The Holiday Inn is friendly and perfectly placed for the metro with the Harbour and street markets all within easy walking distance.

This Holiday Inn was the 3rd and final stop in China on a business Trip. This hotel was obviously older, and in need of some renovation compared to the Holiday Inn's in Beijing and Shanghai. The staff was very friendly, and the welcome area/check-in was very nice. The rooms are what left something to be desired. They just looked/smelled old. With a little bit of TLC, this hotel could be a great place to stay. Location is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly.
