“Disappointing Brunch ”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I went for a late Sunday brunch but ended up very let down. In a nearly empty restaurant, we ordered a French Onion Soup, a Hamburger (cooked to well done) and a Croque Madame. We waited 25 minutes for the soup and burger and an additional 20 minutes for the croque madame. Only the soup was decent. Cutting the burger in half, we discovered the burger was rare in the middle. The worst part was the server took the burger back to the kitchen and brought back the exact same but recooked the halves of the patties. They didn't even bother to remake a simple burger! Not to mention that the croque madame looked good on top but completely was slimy on the bottom. Skip this place and eat at the multitude of better restaurants in the area.

“Good bar and restaurant in soho”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2013

We went on Sunday eve after the ballet in the culture centre. We have been a few times for either drinks and /or food. The bar area gets very busy in the eve but you often find places in the restaurant area behind.

This is more tex mex than French: though the service can be a little too French!

Wine is ok in price for HK which is simply not cheap for even average quality wine.

Food we think is good: we like the tacos and salad generally. On Sunday we had the burger which was fine along with the tacos; though the shells were soft as opposed the crisp texture you would expect.

Service was a bit random but we were certainly not rushed and had a chill out eve and eat; and that is what we go for. For great food we would go elsewhere.

“Great place for dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2013

My husband and I stopped in for dinner on a Friday night, without a reservation. Although the bar area was packed, there were several tables open further into the restaurant and we were shown to a table right away. The service was excellent with a quick refill of the bread and prompt delivery of the very hot food. We enjoyed some of the French offerings, including the risotto of the day and the onion soup. We would happily return to this restaurant. It as nice for a "date night" and it seemed like a popular place to meet friends for dinner as lots of tables were small groups of young women.

“Great little breakfast / lunch place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

We were a young family of jet lagged tourists, staggering around town looking for somewhere reasonable to feed without too much drama. FAB isn't big, but it looked bright and inviting. We were given a very warm welcome. Juices and good coffee appeared within moments of being ordered. The food orders came along a reasonable amount of time later. It wasn't the single best salmon bagel I'd ever had, but it was pretty good. The kids liked their eggs. The bill was fine. We could have got eggs and a bagel much cheaper in any number of other places, but none would have had quiet charm this place has.

“Service is better than the food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

The location of this place is quite good and the service is nice. The french onion soup was good however the quessadilla was rather blan. Gnochi was ok but certainly overpriced.
