“Very very sweet ..”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

Very very sweet dessert Hongkong style.Although you might be well-awared that you shouldn't have high calories meal at night. Honeymoon Dessert is hard to skip after a big dinner meal when you are in Hongkong. The popular desserts are either mango-based or durian-based. It will come in form of sweet coconut milk with mango/durian , icecream and bits and pieces of topping. It is very very sweet, but it's a heaven for those sweet lovers .. Tables are very small..

“Sweet and fufilling”
Reviewed December 24, 2013

I've always loved Honeymoon Desserts and I frequent it often in Singapore as well. But it's safe to say the HK outlets serve fresher and larger portions compared to the Singapore outlets which is, honestly expected. I ate at two outlets during my stay in Hong Kong this time - iSQUARE and Western Market, the only difference between the two outlets is the shop space. I always order their mango sago with green tea ice-cream and grass jelly in vanilla sauce with strawberries and green tea ice-cream while my mother had the hot desserts which according to her, were equally delicious as well. Some of the items on the HK menu were not available in Singapore, like the current strawberry special that they're having in HK right now. The ice-cream servings were noticeably larger than what the Singapore outlets served, and the vanilla sauce had more ice chips in it which I appreciated since I enjoy crunching on the ice chips, sago serving was generous as well. Service was prompt and fast, the waiter at the Western Market branch gladly switched one of the ice-cream portions for the durian ball, I liked that. They're inexpensive as well, well worth the price and nothing beats having a good ol' bowl of classic HK dessert after a decent meal. I was so full after finishing the chilled dessert that I couldn't eat for another 5 hours or so hence it's better to have a meal 70% full before having the dessert!

“Decent HK dessert chain”
Reviewed October 7, 2013 via mobile

Location - There are many places selling hk style desserts (using lotsa mango) like Hui Lau Shan, Hang Fa Lou, etc. honeymoon dessert is one of them with locations across both Kowloon and HK Island like Hysan Place, LangHam Place, iSquare, etc.

Food - pancakes, lava cakes, traditional Chinese sweet soup like red bean, walnut, almond, all types of mango and durian desserts. The taste is surprisingly very good though the serving size is not huge. Better than Hui Lau Shan in my opinion.

Ambience - crowded and basic, presentation of food is basic as well. Clean environment. A good place to rest those tired feet from shopping.

I love the mango pudding and durian pancake. Good try!

“Good Dessert, Several Branches”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

Honeymoon Dessert has several outlets all over Hong Kong and I visited the ISquare and Mong Kok branches during my trip to HK. They have quite a lot of dessert variety and all are reasonably priced, typically around 25-35HK dollars. I had the mango sago with grass jelly and also the almond egg hot dessert which were good. Overall, a good and reliable dessert shop that is worth a try if you are in HK.

“Amazing Asian desserts”
Reviewed December 5, 2012 via mobile

Went here on s holiday to HK. Very hard to find(on 6th floor) but if you take the Lock Rd side entrance to the iSquare mall, the express elevator will take you right to it.

About 40 desserts on the menu, mainly Asian flavours (sago, green tea, durian, redbean).

Had the mango sago with sweet soup (cold) and green tea icecream which was delicious, but the real winner was the sweet balls with coconut, sesame and peanut coating. Chewy sweet balls with crunchy, delectable coating. Wow. All that for 55 HKD.
