All the food items we ordered were excellent for the measly price we paid for such quality. Within walking distance of our hotel at Royal Plaza, the queue was not as intimidating as we had expected having seeing the reviews in TripAdvisor. Our party of six were seated within 5 minutes of waiting. However, we were told that the popular char siew bun was out but noted that for westerners, somehow, they were available for those who came later than us. Hmmm. Worried that the Westerners are secret Michelin food tasters? In any case, highly recommended.

Thanks to Tripadvisor we visited One Dim Sum, which was about 10-15 mins walk away from our hotel. We got there about 10:30am (half hour before they open) on a weekday and there was a small queue forming, but we managed to get into the 1st sitting as it opened.

The dim sum here is good, definitely better than at Tim Ho Wan. The congee porridge is tasty and it is a big bowl (can be shared by two). The fried turnip cake is tasty and so was the lor mai kai. It was good value for money too, we spent HKD$201 for 4 persons.

Will definitely come back here when we next visit HK.

Everything was so good!!! Got lost looking for the place, but the owner was so helpful when we called for directions. The line was so loooong when we got there, but it turned out the owner reserved us a table eventhough we didn't ask when we called. It was a huge plus!! The food way beyond our expectation!! Definitely will recommend for anybody to try n definitely will come back for quality dim sum with reasonable price when i am back in town!!

Perhaps people are in love with the Michelin star. I live in New York and am able to enjoy great dim sum easily, and One Dim Sum is not nearly as good as what I am used to. I waited 45 minutes on a Sunday morning. The dim sum was decent, somewhat more greasy than I expected. It certainly is cheap -- the two of us ate a lot of food for the equivalent of $20 US.

We checked this one out since it's Michelin star. Arrived on a Saturday morning about 11am and waited for half an hour before our turn. When we finished our food, we saw a much longer line and we overheard the waitress telling the new patrons that they have can go shopping and return in an hour.

Do remember to go to the counter to collect a queue number before joining the queue or sitting down, otherwise, you will be wasting your time.

What we like is that the dim sum are filled with big portions of fillings, for example, the Siew Mai are made with big chunks of meat and prawns. We liked their glutinous chicken rice (糯米雞), it's a big portion compared to Singapore's crystal Jade restaurant and filled with tender chicken fillet, mushroom, and even char siew. The rice was steamed to perfection.

Lovely har kow (prawn dumpling) which has thin skin and fresh prawns. Another of our favorite dish is 鱼汤鲜竹卷(beancurd skin in fish soup?).

Service was also very good and friendly. It was easy to locate the restaurant, as mentioned by previous reviewer, just walk along the wall of the police station when exiting from Prince Edward MRT exit A.

Note of caution - while waiting for our turn, someone threw a glass bottle from upstairs and hit the floor near the pedestrian crossing, thank God no one was hurt.
