“Must do in Hong Kong”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

I live in Hong Kong but had some visitors in town and signed up for the tour. It was an absolute highlight of the trip--a chance to see, taste and smell the city's true charm. I am adding this to my repertoire for all visitors and will be joining many more tours in the future!

“Great tour well worth it”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

I went to HK for an exhibition and had only one afternoon off, I took this tour, the website was excellent, i mentioned I dont want pork and there were some vegetarians on our tour and we were very well taken care off, went to awesome places which I would never venture out on my own, restaurants are clean , hygenic, good food, the best part of the tour was the guide and i think the founder as well, her name is savanna, very sweet warm friendly person, unassuming at first very natural, genuine person, she had a bad throat but still managed to explain everything and made the tour a very fun thing to do in HK, dont miss it. It a must to do in HK.
From the wonton fish balls to the goose to the egg tart and the food in between, excellent tour

“Hong Kong old time”
Reviewed April 19, 2014

Never imagined that we would find old time Hong Kong in Sham Shui Po. Most of the shops and restaurants are selling local stuff and food. This was the place that we would wanted to see in HK, and tasted local foods. The tour guide, Sylvana, was amazing, very knowledgable about HK history, culture and food, and the way she presented the subject made the whole tour interesting. After the tour, we did return to this area two times to taste more food at her suggested restaurants, we would recommend that you take this tour early in your trip.

“Yum, the food was delicious”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

We joined the Central and Sheung Wan Foodie tour for a four hour, afternoon, walking tour on Hong Kong island in the financial district. Silvana, our friendly and knowledgeable local guide, provided a real insight into the history of the area and also tempted us with the variety and taste of the food that was offered in 6 different family run restaurants, shops and tea houses, in this fascinating area. We walked through the Wet markets, which are gradually being depleted as property developers move in. Our guide was able to tell us about some of the fresh fruit we were surrounded by and she showed us a number of stalls which were selling dried fish products and live fish tanks, waiting for customers. For me the highlight was the wonton noodle shop and the tea studio, but my partner's favorites were the Chinese dim sum shop, (which we returned to the next day for more delightful dim sum) and the roast meat restaurant. Everything was fresh and authentic. We really appreciated learning about the cultural and historical background as we strolled through the small streets and laneways. But most of all we enjoyed all of the delicious food which we were able to eat on the way. We did not need any dinner that night.

“Must do experience”
Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

A wonderful way to orient yourself to the City, the culture and the food. We did the City and Sheung Wan walk and enjoyed every minute of it. I am a bit of a fussy eater but I can say without reservation that I enjoyed every dish served. The quality was high and the experience very good. Fan (Fanny) is a fun and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended.
