We only had two days in Hong Kong and wanted to make the most of it so the hotel's location worked out really well. It's right where the night market and Nathan Road is. And the subway is very close (Jordan station is the closest) so you can get everywhere. I see that people complained about the size of the room but we knew what we were getting so it wasn't an issue for us. And it was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff was very nice and friendly. We checked out the gym, it was pretty slick! Actually I thought the entire hotel was decorated really nicely.

Make sure you visit the rooftop bar! We went there at night and it has a little outdoor rooftop patio that has amazing views of the city. The only thing we weren't too thrilled about was the breakfast. I love buffet breakfasts or even just simple continental breakfast but we got a muffin and juice for breakfast. Even if you wanted to pay extra, there weren't your usual breakfast options like eggs or toast. But no worries, you're surrounded by bakery shops and restaurants around you so it's not like you will starve. So overall we really enjoyed our stay here.

I went there with my wife and one doter, it was a nightmare, I pay for a suite for 6 days but It was a very tinny room with bad smells, and yes the hotel was renewed but the area was a gunk and not secure, I spend one night there then I check out on the next day and the hotel refuse to refund my expenses for the next 5 days, however it was a bad experience that way don't wast your mouny on a Motel.

Everything good that has been said here, has been said. We stayed at the hotel last weekend and truly enjoyed our stay. We arrived quite late (10+pm) and check-in was done promptly. Breakfast in their chic Cafe 1997 was great too. Room was clean, bed was good and everything was in order. My husband and my son had fun playing PlayStation and Xbox (prior reservations need to be made) in their GamExpert room which I found was super cool! There's no restaurant in the hotel but there are tons of eating joints around the area. Jordan MRT is a mere 2-mins walk away. We even walked to Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui and the walk was about 15 minutes tops. We paid the cab driver HK$260 for a direct transfer to the airport (as opposed to taking the Airport Express and a cab when we arrived since the Airport Express line doesn't stop in Jordan - costs almost the same) and since there wasn't any horrible jam, we got to the airport within 30 minutes. Will definitely stay here again as the prices are quite reasonable. Oh, there's also complimentary minibar for the first round. Wifi is great too! Kudos to the hotel and its staff! :)

Room tip: Get a room on the higher floors - you'll be able to get a bit of the ocean view.

Hotel Madura can be best described as a design hotel (by a Spanish designer). It is refreshing compared to the standard big chain business hotels. We were early with the check-in but for the helpful and friendly reception staff this was fine. Our suitcases were stored in a locked room and after we got a receipt and an estimate when our room would be ready we hit the streets for some coffee.

Around noon we came back and already one room was prepared. The room had everything you can think of and was perfectly fine (including the comfortable bed). The free Wifi is high speed btw.

We went out with an old-time friend and later she joined us to our room to talk some more. Then we find out the design is not so good when you are different than a couple. The bathroom was just separated by a glass window; this means going to the toilet gives a unique show to the rest of the room.

As it got late we decided our friend should not go home so late so we went down to reception and asked for an upgrade. This was not so much of a challenge and within 20 minutes or so and for 60 EUR extra we got a family suite. This one had a better design as the bathroom was completely separated from the suite giving full privacy.

Now with our original room breakfast was included for two. We would think we make an upgrade to three people so we also get a breakfast for three? Well we were wrong there: while the family suite clearly was aimed at three people (three towels, three cups, three toothbrushes etc.) the room according to the nightshift reception only allowed two breakfast. It did not matter what we asked or said: to her it was clear a three person suite entitles only a two person breakfast.

We already wanted to have breakfast outside the hotel but for a last try we went back to the friendly morning shift reception. For them it was no hassle and within seconds we got our third breakfast coupon. We told the manager about this all later and clearly it was a misunderstanding.

The breakfast itself was not enough for us: a coffee or a tea, an orange juice and a scone or muffin and that was it. The hotel normally charges 14 HKD for it. We reckon if you want to have “breakfast” it is better to buy the items separately or just find a restaurant outside for an even better deal.

The breakfast room was nicely done though with so little seats we came to understand the breakfast is a fast drink and bite and then leave affair.

Hotel Madura is by no means a bad hotel. If you happen to like design hotels you should definitely give it a try. The small museum on the lower floor is a nice touch.

My husband and I stayed here in January. Was amazing, clean, friendly, quiet with wonderful coffee shop with great views. Also panoramic bar with amazing views. Staff are friendly. Great location and would definitely come back here. Very comfortable bedroom. Definitely worth a visit as prices are very reasonable. Boutique hotel is a great find.

Room tip: Superior Rooms are great
