“Great value and great food”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

The Market at the Hotel Icon is the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has an atmosphere that is ideal for buffet eating.Breakfasts are a pleasure as the choices are wide and the quality first-rate.If one enjoys a fish buffet,Asian or Indian cuisines the Market is the ideal restaurant for lunch or dinner. For others there is also an a la carte menu to choose from.
The wine list although not large is reasonably priced.
Finally, the experience is made more memorable by the courteous service provided by the staff.
The Icon's Market is a bright star shining in a new Hong Kong.

On a Sunday night, I went to the Market to have a buffet dinner with my boyfriend. However, I was so disappointed as there was limited food choice and the dessert was disappointing too. The good thing was the service. The servers were very friendly. From the seats, you could not see the food. The fruit was tastleless ( Watermelon n others). The Pineapple was sour. The dessert was not attractive at all. The meat was over cooked. I have eaten two half of the lobster, for the last one i had, i could see the colour was a bit grey. However, as my boyfriend got it for me, i ate it. i could say it was spolit.

“Just book it......It was one of our best meals.”
Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

We had supper here, it was prefect for me, who is veggie and my husband who isn't. The service was fantastic and they couldn't be more accommodating, allowing me to choose both from the al'carte and buffet. apparently the lobster and the lamb curry were so amazing that they were worthy of two visits back to the buffet. The desserts were phenomenal. The atmosphere is young, not stuffy and it's a great place to have any meal, it's even considered normal to have your phone on the table and use it whilst you eat. What are you waiting for...Book it!

“Lobster Claws for lunch”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Here are my the Market Lunch buffet Highlights: lobster claws, long crab legs, salmon sashimi, young shrimp sashimi, Peking duck, Crocodile ( really)? Soup.

If you really want to get into the heart or main course of the buffet, concentrate and focus on the grilled lamb and beef rib eye.
All deserts were delectable. Service was superb. I enjoyed my 2 hours eating a great food. It will probably take a couple of weeks to shed the extra weight garnered from the buffet.

I was here twice in the same day in the same day – for breakfast and then for dinner.

For breakfast, they have nice American style choices. Everything was tasty and plentiful. The food quality was excellent. Their orange juice was freshly squeezed.

For dinner, we had buffet. They had all kinds of international food that you can imagine. Their selection of curry was nice, plenty of meat, although if you are Asian, you may find it a bit too sweet (westerners love it sweet, while Asians prefer spicy). I mentioned this to the waiter and they came out with a more spicy curry just for me!

The atmosphere was excellent. I went to take a look at their open kitchen and it was very clean. I could see that things were really made from scratch. And all vegetables were fresh. The staff were always smiling and polite. More over they seemed to enjoy their job, which also makes this store more lively.

Some tips: On Fri night and Sat night, you may want to make a reservation, as they are quite crowded.
