amazingly, this wound up being the best meal we had in HK. that really says a lot considering how great the food in HK is. excellent, fresh and very flavorful selection of food here. everything was delicious and the prices were a bargain. great place to have lunch after visiting the nunnery and strolling through the gardens.

Different vegetarian food...good variety. Vegans would like this place for sure! Stroll thru the Nan Lian gardens first to work up an appetite.

Loved the cashew nut congee that came with many variety of mushrooms. The set linch was good complete with a soup made from wild lily bulbs and almonds among other ingredients.

Situated under a waterfall, this was a cool place to escape the heat. The food (primarily locally grown mushrooms) was OK and service well organized. However, little English spoken and the descriptions of the dishes was marginal. What sounded good all looked alike and there was little variation in texture, color, etc. If you go there (and the Nan Lian garden and adjacent convent are well worth visiting), walk around the tables and point at what looks good. They really need a pictorial menu. Also, there is a minimum charge of about $12, so don't go just expecting tea.
