Ate here after dropping into Stanley on the big bus tour. Atmosphere was relaxed and unpretentious, so the little ones played with toys which were provided, wandered around the shop which was open plan and loved the food which was generous. We had the doorstep sandwiches and bangers and mash for the kids.

We came here with our kids and we had a great little meal here. They had a kids toy section and it was right near the outdoor pirate ship playground. The decor was retro and funky and the smell from the bakery was AMAZING!

We had a few issues with the menu. What we seemed to want, they didn't have available but overall it was lovely.

We visited Saffron Bakery Cafe this past weekend as it looked very refreshing and chilled out inside. We really enjoyed the lounge chairs and the interesting decor, pin ball machines and wide range of drinks and treats on display. The food and drinks were good enough, we had a chocolate cupcake (rating 3 of 5), a BeerLao and Iced coffee, spending HK$105.

Unfortunately, the service here was painfully slow and inefficient. It seemed they were training all new staff or something and were grinding their way through taking and fulfilling orders. It pained us to watch them working so hard and getting so little done, but at least they were doing so with a friendly attitude, which was appreciated as customers.

While this place isn't new, it seems they just relocated to the newly renovated ground floor area of Stanley Plaza, which could explain the soft-opening like service that was taking place on the day of our visit.

Overall, we didn't hate our experience here but would probably wait awhile until Saffron gets settled in with their operational processes before returning to enjoy their very nice atmosphere! Saffron was a very relaxing and chilled out place to hang out and enjoy a drink and treat.
