Great food. Dine here twice during my last visit (31Dec to 5Jan 2014).
Both times, the queue was very long, more than 1 hour wait.
But because we liked the food so much, we've waited.
This restaurant is located in the Airport Express HK station building.
On our second visit, we took a queue number from Tim Ho Wan, then went shopping for Japanese foods products at 759 store, a convenience store nearby. Then we went to Check-in at City check-in counter for our flight later that day (this is available for many airlines, for passengers using Airport Express). After that, we waited a little more before our number was finally called (after about an hour since we took our number)
They try to be fast, but during our second visit, the food came in after we've seated for about 30 minutes, which is quite another long wait.

We heard about this Dim Sum Restaurant and scouted it browsing the reviews on this site and true to the words, this place was packed like a sardine can and there were many people queuing up for the famous Dim Sum

It was full when we arrived, and we were told to wait for 40 mins. Came back after 1hr, squeezed to the front of where the weird, odd looking queue system was being done. A lady who appeared nice, said the numbers however in a small voice and I suggest, "GO TO THE FRONT" and camp there so that you can hear the lady calling out the number.

Due to the packed crowd, she will not shout out the numbers, and will skip the numbers if the customers do not give her the order slip in time. No more than 2 seconds later, the number was skip and that was how we got from 150 to 204 in just minutes.

Then we were packed into a tiny dinning hall, where everyone squeezed to eat Dim Sum. It comes quickly and the Dim Sum was not bad, quite nice for the BBQ buns but that was it. It wasn't Dim Sum that i will queue again for 1 hr +. and certainly not going to be pack like that again. But the experience was worthwhile. it's cheap too and if you do not feel like waiting, do takeaways. They are faster than waiting for a table.

Went here on a Saturday evening about 7:00pm. WOW! So delicious. Be prepared, the line is long, but put your name down and take a seat cause it's worth it. Definitely get the baked/crispy siapoa! Oh we could have eaten 2 orders. Each order has 3 rolls. Also the ribs are great.

Great food in its traditional tastes and style. The seating, however, is far too mean. Your shoulders are squeezed against the strangers next to you. If you get some loud, bad hygiene people who want to get up all the time etc, your meal is spoiled.

When you get to this restaurant, the ambiance wont seem like that of a Michelin star restaurant but once you dig your teeth into that delectable assortment of dimsums, you will understand why it has been awarded a Michelin Star. Located in IFC Mall in Central, this restaurant is a must-do specially for dimsum lovers. No matter what time of the day, you will always have to wait for atleast 15 minutes but trust me the food is worth the wait. The baked BBQ pork buns are to die for and will leave you wanting more. Just make sure you work up an appetite. We usually order about 5-7 different dimsums and the bill comes to about HKD200 for two people.
