The hosts welcome guests in with giant smiles and brisk attention. The ambiance is as lively and colorful as the lovely hosts in this Central neighborhood establishment. Order the fig salad and I promise you'll experience figs like you've never experience figs before...AMAZING! I would definitely return!!!

visited this Middle Eastern-Moroccan-Egyptian restaurant place with my wife after 7 days in hk. we felt like having something different to the asian food we enjoyed since we came to hk. the place is conveniently located in central hk, next to midlevel escalator. we stayed not far away in a hotel, so finding the place was not a problem. we enjoyed the food big time. The couscous à Le Souk ($160) with lamb and vegetable sauce is the star of their menu. to begin with we chose two appetisers: the kofta (little spiced beef patties) and hummus with grilled chicked. The taste id koftas was very good. i reccomend it. All the food was accompanied with a bottle of Rioja. The bill was around 800 hk dollars, which i think was a very good value for the quality of food and service we got.

Wandering round this part of town you could easily miss this great restaruant due to the number of bars and restaurants here. However, if you feel like some authentic mid eastern food then this is definitely the place to stop. The menu is extensive and is sure to satisfy both veggies and non veggies. We had the hummus with roast lamb to start. In other restaurants I've had this in it's usually just a plate of hummus with some small shavings of lamb on, but here it was a lot of tender cooked lamb chunks. There was also plenty of bread to go round.
The crispy prawn salad was also a hit as was the soup and chicken stew.
A great find. I will definitely be back.

The expense of this restaurant put us off at first. But after we ordered, and our food came out, we were very pleased by the portion size. We ordered the appetizer sampler for 2, and the Egyptian barbeque meat platter for two. What a delicious feast! The meat was tender and the spices were enticing. The cous cous was the best I have tasted. Even with the four of us, we still could not finish it all.

This wonderful restaurant is next to the mid-levels escalators that start near Central Metro station. I recommend the cous cous and vegetable soup as well as the meat platter with very tender lamb. Vegetarians can also enjoy the menu here. This is a high end area, but well worth it, The meat platter easily feeds two people for around 300HKD.
