“Thoughtful and Helpful Owner”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

I stayed at Causeway Bay Inn for my holiday yesterday, I stayed at Room 3 for 5 nights. The building is exactly right beside Milan Station, and just a minute away from Times Square, so location wise is good. The main building is looking old and shabby, and the causeway bay inn is located on 1st floor, but once you got inside the room, it looks so clean and comfort.
The room provides towels, basic toiletries, and even a hair dryer.
And the owner is also been very helpful and thoughtful, I forgot to print out the itinerary ticket for my flight home, and I asked the owner (thru email) about where's the nearby place for printing it out, but instead they offer me to print out the ticket with them.
Overall I was so happy stayed at Causeway Bay inn.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in the first leg of our Asian holiday. The prices are very reasonable for Hong Kong but the room is quite small. The location is perfect but a bit of a walk from the Causeway Bay station (but all indoors). The place is a bit hard to find if this is your first time in Hong Kong but definitely not a reason to exclude this as a place to stay.

Everything is automated so no problems for late check ins.

We (2 adults and 1 child) were in Room 1 and it was a bit cramped but doable.

I been in Hong Kong around 4 to 5 times but this is the first time i stayed in Causeway Bay Inn. The main reason i booked this hotel due to it is very hard to get a 3 ppls room in HK especially during the super peak season - CNY. Although the building of this Inn a bit old but the room was clean, nice & spacious. I'm so glad that found out this place with a value price. Take bus A11 from airport instead of MRT, it is near Wan Chai fire station & Time Square shopping mall. When get down from bus, show the location photo in website to the sales person in any shop, there will show you the direction.

we stayed there for six night. we get 10% discount. we take bus A11 from airport and stopped at wanchai fire station. it's easy to find halal food. because rang mahal indian restaurant beside causewaybay inn is halal restaurant. next to causewaybay inn there's a juice stall. we always bought juice and waffel from that stall.
it also near 7/11,hysan place, sogo, times square, f21, apple store, pizza hut, yoshinoya, and mc donalds. very strategic.

the room was small but it's oke because it's very expensive in hongkong.
on the day we check out, our plane was delayed for 6 hours. so when we check out at 11 am. we put our luggage at the back of reception desk, and take it back at 6 pm. then we take taxi to hongkong station and ride airport express

Just behind the inn is Times Square and Causeway Bay MTR. No lack of food choices and public transport is easily available. Guests with heavy luggages might want to take a cab to and from Airport Express Hong Kong station as Exit A of Causeway Bay has a long ascending slope up all the way from the MTR as you first have to go to B2 to go back up to street level. Our main worry was noise from guests from the other 2 rooms. Thankfully, no one was noisy for too long. The walls are thin though and it is especially pronounced if your neighbours go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Room 1 is next to Rang Mahal, an Indian curry house. So the room can sometimes smell of curry. The child bed supplied is really narrow and without a bed guard, we had to precariously put our 1-yr old on the bed next to the wall and the head of another bed and barricade her with the comforter and plenty of pillows to avoid her rolling off. I ended up sleeping on the child bed.

Room 3 was the most comfortable but also takes in more noise from the street as there are 2 sets of windows, one of which has noise coming directly from customers in the shops below. We also learnt NOT to turn on Room 3's bathroom vent as people in the building tend to take their smoke break along the corridor which is where the bathroom faces. We had to move the double bed in Room 3 to join the single bed on our own so that our baby could sleep in between us safely without rolling off; when we asked the management, they said it couldn't be done. In the end, we just moved the fridge, side table and put the beds together and then rearranged everything back in good order after 2 nights' stay. Good mattresses and pillows (both firm and soft available) are used here and we slept well other than our baby waking up every now and then to feed. Although the rooms are along the street, the double curtains help to block out the neon lights well at night.

The shower heads in both rooms are really high and not detachable. Other than these minor issues, we enjoyed the stay and the female security guard is very friendly and helpful. Our daughter had fun waving to people at the tram stop along Percival Street which was right across the rooms.

We had to split our stay into 2 nights in Room 3 and 2 nights in Room 1 as this place is so popular that it is packed every day. So be sure to book your accommodation at least 3-4 months in advance!

Room Tip: Room 3 is very spacious with a bathtub, proper fridge (compared to a mini fridge which is hardly coo...

Did not hv too much trouble finding the place after alighted bus A11 from airport, as soon as u can find Time Square, u are just almost there...

The room was very cozy n very clean n its much cleaner than some 3-4 star hotel rooms in HK I would say... even we got discount for not getting the room cleaned everyday but they still offered to make up the room every single day... the cleaning lady is very very nice...

Can try riding the tram going to Central n the route going to Happy Valley has one stop right in front of the hostel building...

Highly recommend the Red Ants restaurant just located on the street behind, their food are just so good!

We very much enjoyed our 4 days stay n we will sure go back again for our next n next next trip...

Having stayed many times in Causeway Bay, we are so glad we found this place.
Given the location ( easy walking distance to the MTR and tram) cleanliness of the room and price..this is the best by far.
Room 2 despite other comments had plenty of storage and could easily accommodate the two of us.Noise levels were not instrusive at all.
We cannot wait to return here next week.It is our little haven in such a busy city
