We stayed here for 4 nights at Room 2. First of all, I need to say that there are many pluses for the inn, but as a reviewer, I need to be objective and state the minuses that have been missed out by other reviewers as well.
When we booked the inn, we had a very smooth process of paying by Paypal and then being assigned the gate, unit and room code via email. This is truly 21st century-style check in process; very good! We arrived at 02.30 AM and did not run into any problem checking in whatsoever despite there never having been any staff on the inn site. The staff had kindly left a folder of guide around the area and some contact numbers for booking tours or emergency situation. They also cleaned the room every evening.
The room is very small as expected of every HK hotels, but comfy. We have everything we need in the inn: free broadband wifi, hair dryer, reasonably spacious cupboard and other shelvings, soap, shampoo, toilet paper. The air-con is also well-situated where it would not blow onto your face. It was an impressive but simple interior decorating. As other reviewers point out, the beds and pillows and comforters are very comfy. The furnishings are also new and therefore in good working condition.
The location, as stated, is just behind the famous Times Square. It was therefore close to Causeway Bay MTR station. There are also streets of great food and shopping places beside it.
Now come the bad part. The window overlooked a tram station, and being on the 2nd level, made sleeping abit problematic due to the noise. On our 2nd night, we could hear high-heeled footsteps and the sound of wheeled suitcase being dragged in as someone used Room 3 next door. Every sound the guest made, such as showering and blow-drying her hair, could be heard. We were woken up by the sound of her opening and shutting the door in the morning. The next day, a family with children stayed at the inn. We kept hearing the children's voices, the sound of them playing on the beds and other sounds of the shower. If you are a light sleeper, this inn may not provide the best rest. We guessed that the bedrooms were separated by thin plywood so a lot of the noises could be heard, though not everything, thankfully.
Overall, this hotel is value-for-money in a place where it is difficult to get cheap accomodation like HK. It is still in new condition and so is comfortable. The staff is very efficient and considerate. But do buy ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
