Stayed here during April 2013.
Took a taxi from the airport to the hotel; the taxi driver had a little trouble looking for the place, but managed to find it in the end with the help of a map that I have printed out before my trip there [http://www.hotellbp.com.hk/media/4f2a32f2236b4.pdf] , and a call to his fellow taxi driver friend. Taxi fare was as stated in the website: “About HK$360 and takes around 30 minutes”.
Booked Luxury King room; got upgraded to Business Suite upon check-in (complimentary basis). The Suite given was on the 20th floor; loved the room being on the high-floor, but not much of a view as it was directly facing another building. Suite came with a mini living-room which has a small dining table (only sits 2 people… a little squeezy), and a well-equipped pantry area [provided with electric kettle, cups, spoons, forks, etc…). Also loved the complete toiletries that were provided. [Bathroom has semi-transparent frosted glass door, thus shadows and outlines can be seen at times… was okay for us, but may not be comfortable for some people who may be shy].
> 10 minutes walk to Sheung Wan MTR (end of Blue Line; really near to travel Central MTR stations); may be a little difficult to find the walking route the first time, but subsequently it was easy – more so when you get a map from the reception which has very detailed instructions on how to walk to the MTR from the hotel, and vice-versa… Carole did a GREAT job in explaining that to us.
> GREAT GREAT GREAT people at the reception; Compliments to KITTY. ^_^
> Bought discounted tickets for Ocean Park at the reception; you will get the actual entry ticket, so if you reach Ocean Park before the ticketing counter opens, you can just go line up at the entry queue (i.e: Not the ‘voucher kind’ of ticket; No need to line up at ticketing counter to exchange for entry ticket)
> Breakfast was complimentary (but we did not go for it… too many delicious food in HK to go out and try from early morning onwards! ^_^); but we did take some snacks and can drinks from the “all-day” pantry at the lobby when we come back to the hotel… appreciate the fact that you are given the WHOLE can of soft drink that you want (coke, coke light, sprite, vitamin water, etc...), instead of small cups of it.
> Quite difficult to hail cab in that area; Tip: ask the reception to call to book a cab for you when you are leaving (i.e: to the Airport, etc…) – it didn’t cost us much difference for the trip from hotel to the airport including the booking charge, in fact, it was a few dollars cheaper.
