The unlimited rides of HKD50 on both routes, H1 and H2 is really worth it.
If you go for round trip without getting off any of the stops, you need to pay HKD8.70 x 2 = HKD17.40 per route. Thus, you will need to pay HKD34.80 in total for both routes. Go for the unlimited rides ticket. You will have no regret.

We did the rides on Sunday and the traffic was so smooth. The buses reached the bus stop on time or earlier by 5 mins.
Would suggest that you don't get off any of the stops in the first round of your ride on both routes. We hop on H1 without alighting any stops and fully enjoying the nice scenery. It took only 40mins to complete the loop due to smooth traffic. Same goes to H2 route.

After the H1 and H2 rides, we hop back to H1 and stop at bus stop 4 for lunch. Nice dim sum at traditional Lin Heung Lau Restaurant.

After the delicious lunch, we continued our sighseeing journey on H1 and then H2 route again.

This is a fraction of the price of the normal double decker sightseeing bus and does exactly the same. The tourist booth at the star ferry recommended it and it is cheap. There are not thousands of people trying to sell you tickets from every street corner yet it is run very well. By a ticket for both routes and you can get on and off all day. Well worth it.

There are 2 route to take in this double decked bus. The H1 and H2. H1 goes towards the older part of the city while H2 is more towards the modern part. I like H1 better. Each route will take about 50 min depending on the traffic. Cost a bit over 17 HK$ for adult. There is also a hop on and off package for 50 HK$ each. you can get off anywhere and catch the next bus when they come by. There are multiple stops so you don't have to worry about not being able to get back to the seaport. We did both route, but on the 2nd route we hop off at the Tramp to the Peak station. Over all, we spent 2 hours on the bus. It is still the best way to catch an over view of Hong Kong city. I highly recommend this. If I have a chance to do this again, I would do the hop on and off package and start my day a lot earlier that this. Check here for more information http://www.rickshawbus.com/en/home/index.html

We visited Hong Kong on the first week of this month and boarded the all fun " Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus" from Central ( near the Peak Tram Terminus ). The bus has two routes - Heritage and Modern. Each of them taking you through old and new Hong Kong respectively. At 50 HKD per head it is the cheapest among all open bus tours in the city. However, it does not cover areas in Kowloon.
The only problem is the audio is a bit muffled, so you'd have to sit towards the front of the bus (on the roof top ) where they have a large TV screen running the area wise video along with commentaries.
You'd have to get down every time the bus reaches the first pick up point, i.e. Central - Ferry Terminal and change over to the other route. En route you can enjoy the city by alighting at various pre designated points with buses picking you up every 30 minutes.

I would certainly recommend this joyride for the entire family.
