We paid our downpayment via paypal, do note that we paid the remaining balance upon arriving in cash so do have some HKD with you prior checking-in.

We already have an idea of the room since Ken was gracious enough to include a picture during my inquiry.

Coming from the airport was a simple bus ride, we paid 33HKD/ea and the bus stops directly in front of the hotel.

Location is very good, across you have Kowloon Park (alot time to visit, we enjoyed strolling here in the morning), shopping areas left and right, MTR is just at the corner, and the adjacent street you have McDonalds, Yoshinoya, KFC and Burger King (for those who want comfort food).

Alot of the nearby attractions can be accessed by foot so it's relatively cheap to go out and about.

The rooms were always kept clean, the in-room toilet is small but that was expected (not too sure if a big man would fit but they do have a common bathroom that's larger), towels, toothbrush, soap and shampoo are provided and they have a computer/tv in the room you can use.

Will definitely stay here again.

Location: Near MTR and A21 bus stop. Going home late is safe. They also have building security guard on duty that they let you pass after signing same details.
Room and Comfort Room: Clean
Mattress and Pillows: After whole day of tour and walking around for me its comfortable.
Rooms at the rooftop : Staircase leading to the rooms up was too narrow.
Fastfood: Burgerking, Mcdo, Yoshinoya, KFC and Cafe the Coral is just next street of the bldg.
Room rates is much cheaper. It is a hostel not hotel just basic amenities can find on the rooms.
I called yolly for my reservation. It helps calling and talking to her it made my reservation clear.

I read the other negative feedbacks posted , but I guess we were able to manage our expectations even before we arrived. We have had 2 friends who have stayed at this Guest House (Nov 2012 and March 2013) and gave me very good feedbacks.
First, before you book online and/or after you book online, please call Ms Yolly to confirm your payment and booking dates. We paid our deposit way in advance and were confirmed by Ms Yolly after our Paypal deposit payment went through.
Second, check their website, look at the pictures so that you know what to expect. Rooms are really small and so is the bathroom, but since the guests are practically out all day, the room serves as sleeping quarters more than anything else.
* Rooms are cleaned daily and beddings fixed daily
* Towels changed daily
* Rooms have TV/internet/air conditioning/comforters
* Bathroom with hot water and shampoo and soap dispensers
Third, the guesthouse has 3 floors, with very narrow staircases, a problem for those with large suitcases. Best to ask for assistance.
Upside of staying at Burlington Tai San Guest House
1. Walking distance from B1 MTR (less than 5 minutes)
2. Airport Bus (A21) stops very very near the guest house
3. Walking distance to China Ferry Terminal (going to Macau)
4. Fast food places (McDo, KFC, Pizza Hut) within walking distance -around 5 minute walk
5. Hot and cold water dispenser available at the receiving area
6. Macau Ferry open dated tickets available from Ms Yolly
7. Discounted theme park/attraction tickets available from Ms Yolly
8. Philippine Peso accepted as payment for accomodations and tickets
9. There is the very beautiful Kowloon park just across the road, with an aviary (with flamingos), walking trail, children's playground and garden maze
10. The Guest House has a roof top view best seen during night time
All in all, I would recommend this to people who want a no frills super convenient location guest house. And we will gladly return to this guest house when we visit HK next time.
For many, the guest house rates may be a bit steep and are expecting their money's worth, but for HK standards, I guess the guest house rates are reasonable, our 4 night stay at this guest house is equivalent to just 1 night stay at Disneyland Hotel (off peak and w/o breakfast rate).

The only best thing about this guesthouse is the location.
The room cost per day is expensive considering there are no available amenities.
The housekeeper is not accommodating at all unless if you make business deals.
I would not recommend this guesthouse.

Room Tip: The bedroom and bathroom are small. Room amenities like tv, computer is not working. Wireless connection is very slow.

I booked this hotel for 2 people for 2 nights. I even spoke with Yolly, the housekeeper, to make sure that we get the best amenities. (I booked for a room for 2 with 2 beds) Well, we got duped! The room that they gave was small and there was only 1 bed good for 1 person only. The staircase leading to the room was too narrow, my sister almost fell. In order to get to the room, one has to pass by the lodging of a Korean man. Not too secure for ladies! The accomodation was so pitiful. We wanted to transfer on the 2nd day but they wouldnt let us cancel our second night. We were treated as criminals when we said that we dont want to stay in for another night. They wouldnt let us out until we paid for the second night that we wouldnt stay. Needless to say, we paid for the 2nd night just to get out. Terrible terrible place. BEWARE!
