“Great Variety”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2012

Good variety of meals and sandwiches and lemon tea to die for. Near to the Harbour grand Hong Kong and not far from the MTR station so convenient location. Also do breakfasts and the staff were pleasant and helpful even though they did not speak much English. Highly recommended for food and drinks and a great menu choice for locals and foreigners.

“Simple food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2012 via mobile

Simple and very good food/sandwiches, not expensive. It's a pity that the place is too small...crowded on lunch time.

“Decent, functional lunch!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2012

Had a decent lunch here today, ordered the L2 Special (HK$56) which was a toasted pepperoni, mozzarella and basil leaf on toasted bread, served with an illy coffee. This was not bad, a decent 'pizza-like' sandwich, one we might order again (rating 3 of 5).

Our other order was the E3 baked potato served with an egg salad topping (HK$51) that tasted ok, not great. This order came with a Caesar like salad that was equally ok (rating 2.5 of 5).

Overall, the meal here was similar to others had at Oliver's, the variety is good, the price isn't too bad and the food is more functional than tasty, making it ok to eat here from time to time.

“Quite standard, decent food, budget-friendly”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2011

Oliver's Super Sandwich shop is a fast-food version of Deli France and Habito Cafe, all of which can be found across Hong Kong. Oliver's is definitely for the budget minded and it manages to serve ok meals that are good value for money.

We ate at Oliver's for breakfast recently and ordered the corned beef breakfast and the pancake breakfast for a combined HK$55. The corned beef was mostly potatoes to be fair but tasted ok. The baked beans were nice and the egg was fine. The pancakes were like mini pancakes and there was virtually no syrup (brought a bit of a laughing smile to our faces as we considered that they may be looking after our health instead of their cost of operations) but they tasted ok. The standard coffee that came with the breakfasts was served with lots of milk, the way the locals drink their tea and coffee and had very little actual coffee taste. You can upgrade for HK$2 more so we recommend you do this. We had to add sugar, then it was drinkable.

Overall, it wasn't an excellent breakfast, just an ok breakfast. However, when you pay this little, you have to be realistic about what you are going to get. So, we were happy with our meal from a cost/quality perspective and thus can recommend Oliver's Super Sandwich shop to Hong Kong visitors that need to dine on a budget.
