We had some problems finding this restaurant since it is located in a "hidden" food court on the second floor. Accessing it through the fire escape back door was an experience by itself. :)

The service was very quick, polite and good and the food tasted good and was well decorated.

The setting was interesting but not exactly cosy with the fluorescent roof lights. It was fun to dine side by side with happy and curious locals. One interesting thing was that you are allowed to bring your own wine etc since this is a public food court.

The prices was little bit to high based on the whole experience. If the setting would have been a little bit more pleasant it might have justified the price of a main dish just under 200 HKD and a starter just under 100 HKD.

If you want to experience the real Hong Kong but don't like Chinese food then this place is the best. You sit in an open food market, lots of noise and hubbub, and in the corner is a small (or used to be small but getting more popular) Italian/French kitchen. The food is like the best home cooked food you'll have; fresh gnocci, tender lamb...but the star of the show is the suckling pig. Without a doubt you must have this. It's my favourite in HK and ive tried a fair few!

My only grumble is sometimes they book too many people in and the service can be slow. But this is balanced out as its BYOB and so you can just watch life go by, sipping your wine and not being ripped off my overpriced wine charges as is common in HK.

Have been here as a couple and with friends, prefer with big group as bit noisy. The toilets are public to the whole food market and pretty gross, so bring paper and hand sanitiser!

Its a standard looking cooked food market and you need to book in advance. Enough said.

From the outside, the Queen St cooked food market looks like just another food hall style eating joint. For those who are not put off by the appearance though, there is some of my favorite eating in Hong Kong to be had. The menu is nice and simple - one side of A4, with seasonal changes alongside signature dishes. I have been about four or five times and not a single thing has disappointed: The oysters are among the freshest I have eaten anywhere, ever, the fore rib of beef is well aged, full flavored and oaff the bone, and the fish soup is about the best I have ever had.

In a city where eating establishments often suffer badly from style over substance it is both refreshing and reassuring that there are places like this doing so well. It is relaxed, informal, noisy, friendly, busy but not rushed and unusually for Hong Kong, the front of house are totally ON IT. And the kicker is, its BYO so the when the bill comes its always a pleasant surprise. 3 courses for 5 people came to under HK$1500.

Cannot recommend enough.

Located in a Food Court with several other restaurants, this place has a waiting list to get in. Large delicious plates. Give it a try

We are in the midst of planning a wedding and paying through our noses for renovation work on our new home so we decided to scout around for a reasonably priced, hearty steak meal. Being in Hong Kong, we didn't think that this would be too difficult but after factoring in the cost of wine at most of the more traditional steak establishments, we soon realized that we needed to do more research. Luckily for us, we stumbled on ABC Kitchen, which turned out to be a lot more interesting than most of the steak places we've visited thus far.

As mentioned in the previous reviews, ABC Kitchen is located in a food centre/market. That said, you might want to consider calling ahead and making reservations before you turn up as it can get pretty crowded at dinner time.

Our experience at ABC was really quite interesting. Amidst the noisy atmosphere of a HK food market, the tables had gingham tablecloths draped over them, the staff spoke English, were very efficient and surprisingly polite and the food was delicious and very affordable! We ordered an entree of crabcakes, angus sirloin, short ribs and 1litre of sangria with cava and the bill was ~HKD 600.

We were too full to try dessert but would soon be back to try the pistachio souffle!
