We had a great dinner at Tapeo. Its by far our favourite Tapas joint in HK. Myself being a vegetarian usually have a limited selection of Tapas at a typical tapas restaurant. However the chef at Tapeo was very open to serving us custom made veggie tapas which are not on the menu. We had the vegetarian Paella which was just amazing, followed by some delicious veggie tortillas. My wife enjoyed the Gambas. Overall a great meal, friendly service, and decent value for money (for Hong Kong).

Truly great, little place. They may have only about 25 seats at their bar. Each of which is first row to watch the kitchen staff and chefs prepare the quite wonderful food. They serve a nice range of hot tapas and matching wines. It's a busy place, it's a loud place but the atmosphere is wonderful, passionate and very enjoyable.

Traveler tip:
Book early if you are coming with a few friends.

Traveler tip 2:
If you are by yourself, then try it... Sometimes you get lucky for a single seat!

First trial of this Spanish Tapas bar gives me a very impressive memory of its Tapas. We book the seat and is filling up while we are having the meal. It is situated in Soho area.

The whole menu is divided into 6 categories: Para Picar, Cold meats, Seafood, Meat, Tortilla, Vegetables and Salads. There is an early set menu that you can choose 2 out of all the categories except Cold meats with a glass of wine. It costs HK$150 – a good deal. The deal is before 7pm. There is also special menu written on the board.

We order a Cold Meat Platter HK$168 which has Iberian Ham(36 months), Serrano Ham (20 months), Iberian pork loin, Iberian salami and Iberian chorizo. I prefer the 20 months than the 36 months simply the taste is better and there is no residue after you chew them. For Seafood, the Sauteed large prawns are very tasty. The squid of course is good. The Braised Beef Cheek tastes good too. The Crab Tortilla is very special. For something special, we order the Palm Heart Salad which is quite different. There are so many to choose from. Of course Paella is a must try. It is cooked not too wet and is just enough for the rice to absorb the seafood taste. It is one of the best we try though the portion is very small for approx. HK160.

This is one of the good Spanish restaurant. Although the place is small with only may be 20 stools around the bar, the atmosphere is very cozy.

Small and cosy with loads of atmosphere, this bistro is a must for Spanish tapas. A great variety that is served efficiently by attentive staff and in portions that are ample but more-ish.

Sitting around the counter, one can indulge in the international vibe, buzzing culinary preparations or discuss global destinations with the well travelled staff. A lovely and ample wine list complements the menu prices are pitched at the right level for quality and type. I won't recommend anything in particular because of the 7 dishes we tasted, all were delicious so I'm confident that everything else is too.

Granted, there isn't Spanish music or decor to confirm that it's indeed a Spanish tapas bar but hey, see for yourself! It's definitely not needed. This is a venue in Hong Kong's Soho area that warrants a visit before venturing elsewhere for the night.
