Hang around outside the Wing On Plaza, East Tsim Sha Tsui and a man (doesn't speak much English) will approach you and take you up to the Saffron restaurant. If you get there before 1930 you are likely to get a table with a harbour view. We always asked for the set meal menu - it is not available at weekends or holidays and we were once caught out by this and paid a lot more for the a la carte menu. It is called Tiffin for two (four or six) but they will do it for any number and you can have veg or non-veg .
For the set meal for 4 you get two starters, 4 different curries, breads, rice, dessert and 6 drinks (alcoholic or not). There was ample for 4 hungry men and the tastes were fabulous - my favourite was the butter chicken curry. It is served with plenty of smiles and style. You could even ask Michael, the owner, to choose for you if you can't cope with the choices yourself.
We have tried many curry places in Kowloon and this is our favourite. Try it and enjoy.
