This is a very impressive place in more respects than one. The meet and greet set the scene for a superb stay. The staff had bothered to learn my name and were extremely helpful in suggestions for places to dine to shop. The Cantonese restaurant meal we had in the hotel was very good, better I thought than our visit to Lung KIng Heen last year. A last minute reservation at Yun Kee was efficiently arranged by the helpful lady at the Ritz-Carlton Club. We would have dined at the Italian restaurant in the hotel but had already made reservations at Spoon and Ducasse. The view was of course jaw dropping. Much has been made of the hotel's location. We didn't find this to be a major impost as it only involved a sedate walk through the Elements shopping mall to Kowloon station where you catch the MTR to HK. For those interested in comparisons, this hotel is as good as The Mandarin Oriental in Paris, better than The Four Seasons in HK and leagues ahead of George V.

Fabulous - service, location, view... this is a property of superlatives......
The only challenge for the staff is the mixture of guests in the lifts - roudy top floor bar go-ers with business guests and couples... makes for an uncomfortable ride.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. I don't know how it is in other rooms, but we had a Victoria harbour view room on 112th floor and even if the stay was a bit expensive, we didn't regret a second for staying at this hotel. It was worth each penny!
More then perfect service, comfortable room and breathtaking views will definately make you feel special.

It doesn't get much better then staying at the club floor of this hotel. View of course is great. Service as well. Club floor is open 24/7 with wine all around the clock. Club floor includes free hotel limo service for Kowloon area. Loved it here.

Room Tip: all rooms are great, but a corner suite is best.

This hotel is located in the top floors of ICC building which is the tallest building in Hong Kong. The views from the rooms are breathtaking. At times one felt he is on an airplane as sitting int he sun and watch the clouds drift by under you.
As others have pointed out, you have to take one elevator to the lobby on 103rd floor and then another one to your room. However, there is always a staff member escorting you.
The club lunge is excellent with gorgeous views, and the amenities justify the higher cost.
This hotel is directly above the Kowloon train station which is the 2nd stop on airport express train, making the commute very easy and fast. It s only one stop and a couple of minutes away from Hong Kong Station on MTR, so one could easily stay here and commute to Hong Kong Island. While hotel is connected to Elements mall, there is nothing else around within walking distance.

I tried Tosca restaurant. Food was nice but part of the price is because of the views it offers, but you might have better views in your room or club lounge anyway. Ozone Bar on 118th floor is a nice place for a drink.

Room Tip: upgrade to Club level

First this is a topnotch hotel. The material in the room is of the highest grade, and is very tastefully decorated, except for some garish touches like the leather work chair. The bed and linen is very comfortable, and they have seats by the window, perfect for gazing out over the city - after all, this is one of the tallest hotels in the world.

Having said that, height has its disadvantages. Mobile phone reception is spotty and the 2 elevator system can get tiring. From the main arrival lobby on level 9, you take a high speed elevator that takes you to the reception lobby on level 103 in about 60 seconds. Then you switch to another elevator that takes you up to your room. It adds significant waiting time especially if you're in and out of your room a few times a day.

Location though is a big problem. While the hotel is connected to the Elements mall, which has a good selection of shopping and dining, it is a pain to go elsewhere. It has very limited connection to the city's highly efficient mass transit system. To go anywhere on the Kowloon side, you would have to go to Hong Kong station and from there transfer onto the MTR system onto Kowloon side. It's quite a roundabout way of getting to a Kowloon location given that you're already in Kowloon to begin with. Which leaves you with taking a taxi. The problem is coming back to the hotel, as taxis are scarce during rush hour, and it wasnt even raining. Having a regular MTR service makes your travel time predictable, and staying at the Ritz negates the advantage of the highly efficient HK MTR system. Highly ironic considering the mall and the hotel are an MTR Corporation development.

So if you're just staying in the hotel and having meetings at the ICC towers and the Elements mall is sufficient, then this would make a good choice. However if you have to move around HK, be forewarned.

Great view from the 118th floor, service unparalleled, and food was great... just wish I could stay longer! This was a business visit that felt more like pleasure. Easy to navigate, rooms great. Internet easy, multiple restaurants to choose from. Would gladly come back any time!

Room Tip: the higher the better!
