“above and beyond breath taking!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012 via mobile

this hotel is exceeding all expectations to date (still have 2 more nights). I have never been so impressed with not only the beauty of the hotel/ rooms but the level of service and attention to detail is unparallel. the club lounge was amazing- Veronica, Samantha, and Chloe were fantastic and made our experience even better. Thank you Ritz as we are having the time of our lives on vacation- we will be back soon and tell our friends to visit. Off for champagne and to see another amazing sunset!

I really regret my stay was so short. One night was definitely not long enough at this superb hotel. I liked everything about this property. It was so easy to get to using the airport express train. It might be harder if you have a lot of luggage as the walk inside the shopping mall from the Kowloon station to the hotel entrance is quite a distance. The staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. The rooms are well appointed and the views amazing. The bed was so comfortable. The pool was large (very large for Hong Kong) and luckily whenever I went swimming there was hardly anybody else in the pool. Afternoon tea at the bar was great too but I could not get a seat at Chocolate Library which looked amazing and very popular and I would have preferrred to take tea there instead so book early if you can. Luckily I was able to check-in at two because coming down for tea at three, the lobby was crowded with people all trying to check-in at the same time. Next time I return to Hong Kong I will definitely stay there again.

Outstanding location and spectacular view from the Rooms and Restaurants. The Club Lounge on 116F is the best in the market with excellent food presentations and dedicated service by a very motivated young Team. Club guests enjoy also a complimentary drop-off service anywhere in Kowloon.

Room Tip: It does not need to be a more expensive Harbour view room. All views in this Hotel are spectacular.

From the time one enters the Arrival Lobby on the 9th floor, through the Reception Lobby at the 103rd floor to the guest rooms above and even to the Ozone club on the 118th floor, hotel staff hurry ahead with polite greetings, offering to carry bags, pressing elevator buttons and generally making guests and visitors feel pampered.

Checking in took about five minutes for my five-night stay. Views from the guestrooms are spectacular whichever direction one looks; on a clear day, one can literally see forever. At night, the Hong Kong and Kowloon skylines are impressively beautiful. However, the expansive glass walls designed to capture natural light and facilitate breath-taking views may preclude acrophobics from staying.

My guest room is very comfortably appointed with a king-sized bed flanked by twin night tables, a good-sized writing desk with an executive chair on one side and a guest chair on the other, LG 42" flat panel TV and DVD player, Nespresso machine, minibar fridge, wingchair and ottoman, low credenza with large drawers and full-sized wardrobes with integrated smaller-than-ideal electronic safe. Comfortable bedroom slippers are free, as are the Nespresso capsules, various tea bags, abundant bottled water and fresh fruit (which were never replenished after the first day). Free internet access is available both via WiFi and a cable with RJ45 male jack.

The well-designed bathroom features Kohler sanitaryware and Asprey bath products. There is a full-sized bathtub with a small TV recesssed into the wall, adjoining glass cubicles for shower and toilet (the latter with frosted glass), twin undercounter washbasins with drawers beneath (one of which contains the hairdryer and a vanity box with dentalkit, sewing kit, comb, nail file, etc). The generous use of mirrors makes the well-lit bathroom appear larger.

Electrically operated day and night curtains work very well, as do the thoughtfully-positioned lights and switches located discreetly in panels that swivel out from the sides of both night tables..

So what's not to like? WiFi speeds are slow-to-barely-tolerable and the mobile signal for SingTel's Bridge Dataroam Unlimited partner, CSL, varies from atrocious to non-existent. The Michelin-starred Tin Lung Heen served surprisingly bland dishes - but the service staff are good. However, service staff at the buffet breakfast are friendly but not very competent (for example, after waiting 45 minutes for his scrambled eggs, my colleague was finally offered two eggs sunny side up) and Ozone is understaffed, especially when it gets busy past 2200hrs.

The hotel's location is great if one wants only to spend time in the Elements mall or International Commerce Centre but is out of the way for activities that require a trek to Tsim Sha Tsui or Hong Kong island.

Was there for a few days break. Based on some reviews, I was bit afraid to pay the price and be disappointed. Disappointed I was not! I was really impressed and amazed. And I am picky (I work in the industry).
Was upgraded to a Deluxe Harbour Suite I think. Everything in the room was perfect. And the views! A dream. So much so that I spent much more time in the room than I usually do. Love the Nespresso machines and the fact that they notice which capsules yu like best and replenish accordingly on a daily basis adding more of your favorites.
Swimming pool and jacuzzis on top floor amazing. I was so nicely surprised about the outdoor jacuzzi. Imagine an outdoor jacuzzi on the 118th floor of a building!
Service was great. Not pretentious but very down to earth classy. Always here to notice and help without being overwhelming.
Breakfast by the windows was just unreal. Slightly disappointed by food quality and limited choice though.
All in all, unforgettable experience.
If you are looking for a very special treat, go for it! And don't hesitate to pay more for Harbour views. Well worth it.

They are full of clients that is why they do not care very much on every client as they considered
people will come anyway! No internet during my stay with them- 2 nights, which is unbelievebale
and their answers to this issue...so stupid!
Wrong attitude on the reception desk- people staying in line for check out! A lot of employees for no purpose...just big job titles..no real job for them!
They really need training on understanding that their salaries are paid by the clients!
Management team should be changed- top level!
Location, location. location! But...do not forget to really care on your clients! They feel your attitude! Weak up!

The Ritz Carlton was one of our choices for Hong Kong however we decided on the Four Seasons so we went to visit anyway to check it out for next time. We had High Tea in the Club Lounge. The building is amazing, a real sense of luxury pervades and the views are phenomenal. We were disappointed with the service, we waited some time for food and we found ourselves having to really try to get the attention of staff which was a surprise for a high-end establishment. More staff in the lift areas on the ground and in the lobby would be a good thing for people visiting for the first time. Highly recommend a visit but it's not the Four Seasons.
