The ding ding is a fun easy way to ride through Hong Kong island and see the sights. I would ride it in both directions so you don't miss a thing. Frequent and inexpensive you can't go wrong if you like to see city life and people watch.

These tramways are part of Hong Kong's history so riding one was absolutely on my to-do list. Hong Kong is the only Asian city to have a double decker tram and the ride is fun.
The ticket is very cheap and you can pay by using the Octopus Card. If you don't have this card, remember to carry small bills because you won't receive any change!

Loved this almost as much as the Star Ferry! They travel east-west through the city, providing such an easy way to transport. Fun, cheap, clean and historic--all rolled into one easy ride. Felt like riding the old-time cable car in SF, but no lines or touristy crowds. You just hop on and pay when you get off!
Use the Octo card for ultra convenience.

This is a very cheap form of public transportation and it is a great way to experience the city. It moves slowly so one can soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Hong Kong while still traveling efficiently. Also, being one of the oldest forms of public transport in the city, it is a good way to experience some history. There was no A/C on board so it was a bit hot but that did not keep us from enjoying our time.

This is a nice try for me to take tramway to go sightseeing. you could find Ding Ding in the Central, and tramways have lots of stations, you should pay HKD less than 3 and you could get on this special bus.
