It was such an amazing experience getting on the trams and the best way of seeing the other parts of the city. It is cheap and handy to hop on and off. We were not really sure which tram to take at first as the tram services really provide a wide area of HK. We then decided to take the one heading to the Northpoint. We got off at the last stop and we were surprised to see a morning market there. We grabbed the chance to look around and bought some cherries and plums. They were all cheap and fresh. We enjoyed the experienced of being closed to the locals and wondered around in the morning market.

This ride is not on the Kowloon side , but on the Hongkong island and runs from east to west on the Hongkong Island. The trams are double decker and moves in the central , wan chai and other areas of Hongkong Island. This mode of transport is unique in its own way.

We had the most amazing time all for around 20p!! We really didn't feel like queing for hours for the usual tourist attractions as we only had a couple of days. we just wanted to experience the city. We took the Star ferry accross the water from Kowloon and caught a tram going east to North Point, we sat on the top floor at the back, the best way to take photos. The trip to North point took around 35 minutes, when we got there the tram stopped for ten minutes and we stayed on, the cleaner came on but we just took in the atmosphere of the bust market street with food stalls that the tram had stopped on. After ten minutes or so the tran headed back westward to our origional stop. A great way to spend an hour seeing the real Hong Kong and it cost around 20p. (The seats are uncomfortable if plastic wearing shorts!)
