“Fantastic steaks, amazing views, pricey.”
Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

The quality of the food (steaks in particular) with a spectacular view of the Hong Kong skyline make this a fabulous restaurant. But it is probably a little overpriced at HK$1,000 per head average cost for 3 courses without wine.

“High Quality Steakhouse”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Visited this restaurant on 02/23/13 (no reservations) and we were very impressed. From the moment we stepped in we were made to feel special. We had a couple of drinks at the bar and decided to stay on for dinner. Our table was ready in about 10 mins. The restaurant was pretty busy and therefore all the window tables were occupied. I requested a window when one came available and after being seated for about 15 mins, we were moved to a window table. The view is spectacular! Our food was served nice in a few minutes - I had the filet mignon and my wife had the roast chicken breast. Both dishes were delicious!

A good steak is a rare find in HK. We've dined at Ruths Chris, Morton's and the Steak House at the Intercontinental - the latter being the best of the 3, up till now. Wooloomooloo is THE place to dine when your in the mood for a good steak.

The General Manager Llyod stopped by a couple of times to check and see if everything was satisfactory. The wait staff was very attentive and serviced our needs efficiently

It's a pretty expensive place, but so worth it for those special occasions.

“Overpriced Aussie steakhouse”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Views are spectacular if the weather and smog conditions are good. Steak pretty good but you pay for it. Reasonable wine list.

“Best View for Chinese New Year Fireworks!”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

We've made a point of finding new locations to view the fireworks for CNY each year and chose Wooloomooloo Prime this year, and were not disappointed. We hunted all over for restaurants for this years fireworks for our out of town guests. Upon exiting the elevator the first time, my skeptical daughter responded with a "wow!" Wooloomooloo Prime is actually located on the 21st floor of The One mall at 100 Nathan Road, which is several blocks away from Victoria Harbour, so you wouldn't expect a good view, but frankly, it has a spectacular view. The restaurant is situated high enough that the only obstructions are architectural. Floor-to-ceiling windows highlight the view,

Wooloomooloo Prime had a set dinner for the fireworks, which although pricey ($1088 + 10% service charge per person), did not disappoint. Vegetable Mille-Feuille, Pan Seared Hokkaido Scallops with Cajun Spices, Lentil Soup (with thyme oil!), and choice of either Poached Dover Sole, Roasted Baby Pork stuffed with Parma Ham , Celery, & Carrot, or Classic Tournedos Rossini, followed by Baked Mint Chocolate Ganache with Banana in Phyllo Pastry... Now, if that doesn't tempt you, I have to say that it really was fantastic! I had the Sole, and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The rest of our party had the Tournedos Rossini, which was a succulent beef. Yum!

The restaurant owner orchestrated a music selection along with the fireworks, which only added to the spectacle and enjoyment. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat!

The only downside is that guests were invited to come to windows just prior to the beginning of the fireworks with little forethought. We had a window table reserved well in advance... In fact we were the first reservation on the books! We ere very disappointed that we were rudely crowded by guests who leaned over us, chatted above us, got in the way of our dinner being delivered, and even moved our personal items to view the fireworks.... "Crowd control" was definitely needed. We paid A LOT of money for the dinner and the experience, and it was lessened by the thoughtless actions of others who could have also reserved window tables, or the restaurant who could have sectioned off viewing areas...

Regardless, we are already planning a return visit for their Executive Set Lunches, which are surprisingly affordable ($198-238 HKD pp + 10% service charge). It's well worth the visit and is now our new favorite restaurant in Hong Kong!
