This is the second time I live in this hotel, the staff are friendly and sincere. They acknowledge my request truly and make my stay in the hotel comfortably. The room is in moderate size, clean but with all necessities.
The price is very economical and you get the service more than what you paid.
Only that the location is a disadvantage. Although there are buses, mini van and hotel transport go between Causeway Bay (the shopping area) and the hotel, it is still not very convenient. However, the MTR (subway) will be completed in 2016 and by then it will be perfect!

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor!

Dear Chiangipannie

Thank you for sharing your comments with us on TripAdvisor. We are delighted to hear that you have had an enjoyable stay with us.

Many of our guests’ have made the most out of our convenient location being close to the Ocean Park Hong Kong, one of the internationally renowned theme parks, and Stanley, another popular attraction in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, we also provide complimentary daily shuttle bus services to the Ocean Park, Wan Chai, and Central. And yes, you are absolutely correct on the extension of the MTR metro system in the Southern district of Hong Kong, which the South Island line is scheduled to be open in 2015. For sure it will be beneficial for our guests and for us as well!

Once again, thank you for taking the time to let us know what you feel, and we look forward to serving you again in the near future!

Best regards,

Venus Fung

We stayed at L'hotel for 2 nights this Jan and were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is very close to the Ocean Park. Although location not convenience, but they have shuttle to town. The reception staff are all very friendly. Check-in is smooth and very helpful.I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Reasonably priced but in midst of construction and industrial wasteland. Pleasant staff; nice amenities. Breakfast good variety, but fair quality. When the new subway arrives, this will likely change the quality of the neighborhood a great deal and may make this location better. Hotel has a decent shuttle service - needed to get ANYWHERE in Hong Kong.

We stayed here for 3 nights in January 2013 after 3 weeks in Central. It was a very good change of pace for us, as we wanted to have a 'base' in Aberdeen for a few days. The hotel was perfect for me, my wife and our 3 year old. More space in the room than in hotels in Central, yet less expensive. Decent breakfast included. We at dinner there one night, fine food. Tough to walk anywhere from there, but cabs are quick and inexpensive. We got to Ocean World in about 5 minutes, Aberdeen Harbor 5 minutes, and the 15 minute ride to Central really isn't that bad. HK is extending the subway to Aberdeen and that will really open up the whole area.
By the way, if you do stay here, or anywhere in HK, find the time to go to Jumbo Restaurant in Aberdeen Harbor. Don't do the lower floor restaurants - go to the top floor, ask for an outside seat on a nice weekend afternoon. Yes its touristy, but a wonderful afternoon.

The location is not so convenient but we can take shuttle bus from HK MTR station. Somehow remote, but it is hard to find a peaceful hotel in HK - such a high density city. Enjoy the peaceful environment.

The staff were polite. However, the family at next counter still could not check-in at around 15:00. Luckily, I could.

The room is clean, tidy and neat. Not very brilliant, but decorations are good enough. May take a look on my photo as reference.

If you are living on the upper floor, you could also enjoy the sea-view.

Actually it is really a good choice if you would like to go Ocean Park; about 10-15 mins by walking. Besides, you may also take bus to Stanley. The bus stop is very close to the hotel at the main road.

Overall, the price is much lower than those in urban areas. But the quality of the hotel is competitive enough. Wisely take the shuttle bus and you can enjoy a peaceful hotel with good quality but lower cost.

Room Tip: Be aware that check-in might have delay. Pay attention to the shuttle bus schedule, ask the staff for details.
